Post BB interviews with the houseguests Real Player (who I got the live feeds from) sent this to me so I decided to post it before deleting it, in case anyone's interested.
Ask Big Brother Interview: Mike "Boogie"
A reader asked me if you had a MySpace page by chance? (Will walks by and says "Nerd Alert!").
C'mon Will, you don't know it but we became friends while you were in the house!
WILL: We did? Well that's good I guess. (Boogie starts talking to someone else so I ask Will another question)
Boogie said he was setting you up after you were evicted? What do you think, just talk?
WILL: He said that? Yeah right, I don't believe that.
Hey Boogie, I heard you have a restaurant or two. How come you never mentioned them, or maybe wore a shirt or something? (sorry guys, I had to get him back to the interview before my time ran out!)
BOOGIE: I do have some restaurants! Dolce in West Hollywood, Geisha House, Bella in Hollywood and we're building a few in Atlanta too.
So getting back to it, do you have a MySpace page by chance?
BOOGIE: Um, no.
So we can't be your friend, got it. You alluded on the live feeds that you were setting Will up. True or not? (Will has walked away at this point)
BOOGIE: Yeah I wanted to create the perception that I was less liked than Will, that I was the bad guy in Chilltown, that I was taking people out of the mix. I knew if it came down to him or I people would want to take me.
So there was some gameplay actually against Will?
BOOGIE: Yep.
But you were taking Will to the finals?
BOOGIE: Definitely. I was for sure taking him to the final two. I probably wouldn't have won but I had to be loyal to him because we did it together.
Was your win more impressive than Will's because it was against All-Stars?
BOOGIE: My win was definitely more impressive because it was against All-Stars. I was the All-Star that didn't do so well the first time, I was probably the weakest player coming in as far as people's perception of me so you know it blew me away that I looked at the wall and saw those faces and names and actually won this year.
Why do you think people didn't see the Chilltown threat until it was too late?
BOOGIE: Because of our social skills. Because we were the fun guys, we're the guys you want to hang out with and party with. We knew that would help sneak us through. It got us in a position to win it.
And with that Boogie was whisked away... I didn't get much time with him, sorry, and he'd done so many interviews that it seemed he was tired.
Ask Big Brother Interview: Erika
When the BB producers sent Erika my way she was a little distressed. We started the interview but after a few seconds she said "I've got to have a cigarette." I asked her if Janelle took them all when she left and she said she had. Cruel! She hadn't had one since Janelle's eviction and was desperate. Finally we found an assistant with a lighter and a cigarette and as she took that first puff she relaxed. I told her I was honored to share that first one with her and she laughed again.
The best question I got for you was that Chuck from suburbs of Buffalo wanted to know if you were single and ready to date him?
ERIKA: Well I am single but I don't know if I'm ready to mingle...
Aww, c'mon, Buffalo is nice this time of year... Ok back to business, did your thought process go out the window with developing feelings for Boogie?
ERIKA: Definitely. It's really hard especially because I came in having broken up with my boyfriend of five years and I was vulnerable. I was on the rebound and my dog had just died, that definitely all came into play. I was trying to latch on to something and someone. It clouded my judgment as we all know. But it's always nice even if it's not real to have someone. Just to get you through.
Will your opinion of Mike change based on what you'll see on the tapes or what you saw tonight? It couldn't have felt good.
ERIKA: It didn't feel good. But you know I evicted his best friend and he's really pissed so I knew that he wasn't being nice to me in the diary room.
I don't know if you saw but he did a diary room session after Will was evicted where he did a phone call and no one answered.. it was so sad! It was the first time I felt a little compassion for him because they had just been running the whole game. Anyway, what could you have done differently to come out on top?
ERIKA: Basically I think my biggest regret was not evicting Mike when I had a chance against Chicken George (Ed Note: She shouldn't feel too bad because it was probably impossible. Janelle was HoH, Will voted for Boogie and even if Erika voted to Evict him Janelle held the tiebreaker. At that point Janelle was probably keeping Boogie anyway. Erika didn't have time to really work a Boogie eviction, it was too late.) In hindsight I thought Boogie was protecting me. It was like I knew if I had a moment to reset with Janelle and talk to her... but I still didn't know if I could trust her.
It seemed like you and Janelle had a little anger towards each other after she was evicted. Based on the live feeds you didn't seem very happy with her after the Jury session (as I missed the live feeds there thanks to Jokers Updates for keeping me informed!).
ERIKA: Will got to her. She's very easily manipulated be men (Hello Kettle, my name is Pot. I'll be calling you black now.) That's just the way it was.
Why, after evicting Will did you continue the showmance with Boogie?
ERIKA: I was still playing my options.
But you would've taken her to the final two?
ERIKA: I would have. I don't know if they showed it but in the diary room but I was going to take her.
A couple of things here, I do believe her on the Janelle thing. She would have taken her based on everything I witnessed, I know some people may disagree but I think she was being honest there. The only thing I think she was off on was Will getting to Janelle. I'm not sure if she was aware Janelle didn't go to sequester and came up with the hard hitting jury questions on her own. Janelle definitely thought Erika had thrown the final HoH comp, true or not.
**Update** An alert reader emailed in with a clarification:
Janelle came to Erika with a deal during the commercial break. She told Erika to vote out Boogie and if she did she would take Erika to the final 2. Janelle told her it would be a tie (Will votes out George, Erika votes out Boogie) & Janie would break the tie to evict Boogie, but Erika didn't do it! They had a conversation about this on the feeds where Janelle was upset with Erika about not going through with the deal.
I clearly missed that, so it seems as though Erika was correct when she said her biggest mistake was not evicting Boogie... I guess love really did cloud her judgment.
Ask Big Brother Interview: James
Were you annoyed by Janelle's speech when she evicted Will? Some of the viewers felt your facial expressions indicated you didn't really believe her.
JAMES: We all laughed at Janelle's speech because if Janelle really wanted revenge she would have put up Chilltown with her HoH (Ed note: the fast forward George/Erika noms, BUT in fairness the way it played out it didn't seem like revenge was on her mind until after those noms...) That's the reason I had to go against her, but Janelle was in bed with Chilltown from week 4, well actually before the show started so it's like how do you fight a pre-game alliance?
Do you feel like furniture almost won the game?
JAMES: Yeah, a piece of furniture got second place.
Did Janelle stealing the veto king title hurt?
JAMES: Well, I didn't have people throwing competitions to me. I won them on my own. People were throwing veto competitions to her so it's not the same.
In hindsight do you regret working with season six?
JAMES: I had to, we were forced to stick together. (Howie Screams across the backyard: Can Will get a table dance??) The only hindsight I have is instead of putting up Jase I should've trusted my instincts and put up Boogie instead. That would have destroyed half of Janelle's alliance right there.
The Chilltown boys commented that your last night in the house was your best, in terms of being fun. Should you have turned that side on earlier, the crazy guy who shotguns beers?
JAMES: I regret not doing that for my own sanity. When I felt that I got betrayed by season six very early in the show it hit a nerve with me. These were the people I was supposed to be able to trust and it backfired. The show stopped being fun because I saw what they were doing, I knew about their other alliances, and I was playing hard for them until week four. I was completely by myself after week four.
So I'd say yeah, James is still a little bitter. I'm not sure he saw the same game as the rest of us, but he's certainly entitled to his opinion. In my opinion James largest mistake was taking everything just a little too personally but he seemed like a nice enough guy in the short time we spent together.
Ask Big Brother Interview: Will
When I found Will he was ending another interview, talking about Howie.
WILL: Howie's a great looking guy, he's just a little weathered, a little behind the times, we just need to update his wardrobe, get him some Botox, we will rebuild him. We will absolutely rebuild him.
Are you going to charge him for this, or on the house?
WILL: These are friend prices, I'm not going to rake him through the coals, I'll give him one or two percent off, it's fine.
At this point that interview ended and mine started.
Where does one get the hair shammies?
WILL: As the creator of the mandana what I do is I take shirts, cut off the sleaves, turn it inside out, put it on your head with the most distal portion being the lowest portion on your face.
Was all your talk about "producing" or "making a good show" really some type of defense mechanism, maybe you wanted to feel like you are outside the process?
WILL: Absolutely. I constantly complained that the show wasn't being produced the way I wanted it to; I wanted to produce it myself. The truth is I worked as a producer on a reality show and I want to bring that element to it. A lot of people see this show the way they want it to play out. I see it in my mind the way it will be on TV. Storyline, to produce it a certain way. I feel like not only does it allow me to keep myself sane but it also makes for a great show, so two birds with one stone.
Would you say the rope veto competition against Erika was the first one you've ever wanted to win?
WILL: Yeah, that's the first time. I've never won the competitions, that's very clear, I'm terrible at the competitions, in life it's very important to know what you're good at and what you're bad at, and I'm terrible at the competitions. The rope competition was the first one I've really ever tried to win and I broke my thumb. Clearly that's a sign that I shouldn't try to win any competitions.
Don't you think that sent a big message to Erika, how hard you were trying to win it?
WILL: Of course! When I lost the rope competition to Erika I was afraid she picked up on that pretty quickly but I also tried to recover by telling her I was going to not use it. At the end of the day I obviously would have used it to kick her out.
At the start of the show, on the live feeds, you said the said the twist this season was that all the houseguests were depressed. What changed for you?
WILL: What I did this summer was come into the house with a huge target on my back so I wanted to break people down pretty quickly. I wanted to make them miserable, I wanted to make people willing to walk out of the show at any given time. For me the day that Kaysar left I knew sequester had begun and then I turned it up. I flipped a switch and went out of my way to try and evict people in a very powerful way.
Do you have a quick book to recommend to the internet?
WILL: My favorite book I just read was "Choke" by Chuck Palahniuk. Phenomenal book.
What does Niel Patrick Harris mean to America?
WILL: I'm a huge Neil Patrick Harris fan, Before this show started I was watching "How I met your mother" 8:30, CBS, Monday Nights, my favorite show. It's truly one of the best shows on television. He's a great guy, Doogie Howser M.D., I'm a Doctor, at the end of the day I just think he's hilarious. I can't believe they brought him in, but I was hoping they would.
Your singing infuriated the internet, but some people theorized that you picked songs based on your mood, like "You've got to hide your love away" by Oasis, was this a direct reference to what you were feeling?
WILL: The internet.. you guys are all over this. I also sang "What a man" by salt n pepa so let's not get too deep..
Well, that was clearly about Boogie. Oh by the way, Tansie wanted me to tell you Metamucil changed her husand's life.
WILL: If you take away one thing from this summer, take your Metamucil.
Do you think the internet should have a vote?
WILL: What I told the internet, you guys have your expectations too high. You have to give it time and let it unravel. It just takes a little while. The internet not having votes benefits my game. I play a more vicious game, if you are a competition person the internet can help you. If you are a strategy guy it really can hurt you.
Did you have a preferred wine?
WILL: I don't have a preferred wine, I just don't want what they were giving us. It was ripple.. my liver still hurts from it.
During five star dinner night, the dinner with Janelle there were these three minute stares... let's talk about that a little bit. That didn't feel like showmance to people.
WILL: Good point. Mike Boogie said that I met my own match when I met Janelle. She's awesome, she's beautiful, she's smart, she's intelligent (ed note: hmm, Dr. Delicious repeats himself on her smarts). At the end of the day I won't back down on the stare game. If anyone wants to try to outstare me it's not going to happen, so if you're going to throw that vibe out at me I'm going to throw it right back at you.
Those didn't feel like staring con-*test*-('")s..
WILL: Listen, if we all could define love the world would be a much happier place. I don't have all the definitions; I don't have all the answers.
Was that one definition though, you and Janelle?
WILL: Yeah, sure, absolutely, there's nothing wrong with that. You get lonely, you and you meet people who you enjoy spending time with and we had a lot of fun together.
In terms of Janelle where do you go from here? You've got Erin Brodie waiting in the wings, you've got Janelle.. what's the endgame?
WILL: I haven't spoken to anyone in three months. I love Erin very very much, I'm going to a wedding with her this weekend, I hope she can understand that this is a game... if anyone can understand that it's her. She won two reality shows. I accomplished my object, to get Chilltown to win this game. Hopefully people can respect that. Eggs were broken, ribs were broken, hearts were broken, things have to break to rebuild.
The cycle of life...
WILL: All we are is Dust in the Wind.
Kansas, nice. But is it safe to say you're not ruling out a relationship with either one of them?
WILL: (Much stuttering.. ah, well, you know..) Very honestly the piercing eye of Big Brother is constantly on you for three months and I want to keep my private life private, as the name suggests. I'm just trying to clear my mind, go see a shrink, get my ducks in order.
Hmm... having been there and looked at him as he said it, I'd guess he wasn't sure what the truth was. I will say, for me, if someone asked me the exact same question I asked him I would have clarified that Janelle was just a friend, if in fact that was the case.
But that's just me :)
Ask Big Brother Interview: Janelle
I think people want a show with just you, 24/7 Janelle... (laughs)
JANELLE: Yeah, that would be great.
Did your thought process go out the window, I know it was some game, but did you lose control of that?
JANELLE: I don't think so. (Howie is standing next to her, says "ahem, Dr. Will) No I mean, I kept him in the game but he didn't come after me. I did the best move I could each time.
When you did the Early Show were you tired..
JANELLE: Omigod, did I fall out of the chair? I was drunk. The thing is it's not fair because I'd just been evicted, I was still wearing the makeup I was wearing the night before, it was four in the morning. I had a whole bottle of merlot in my room. I needed to decompress.. I remember sitting there and then falling out of the chair (ed note: um, clearly edited!).
What are your thoughts on the volcano?
JANELLE: The instructions were totally unclear. I'm bitter.. there was no instructions, there was nothing, it was just like "go." It was stupid, they should have explained it better, what we're supposed to do, how we're supposed to stand. I knew I was supposed to hold on to the key but not how I was supposed to stand if that makes sense.
When you were prom queen, did a power come with that?
JANELLE: I never got a special power, I got a tiara, and crowned queen of the house but I never got a power.
There was something going around the net that you got a Boogie like power.
JANELLE: No, I never had any power.
Did they keep you out of sequester?
JANELLE: Yeah, they kept me in a hotel.
What was that about?
JANELLE: It was depressing. I don't know, they didn't want me to talk to them (jury) I guess.
If you won HoH who were you taking?
JANELLE: Erika, I was going to keep my word.. (Howie: Big mistake!)
Are you willing to give Will a second chance? (Will hears this and comes over, putting his arm around her waste.. Janelle looks tongue tied...)
JANELLE: Yes, I'm willing to give Dr. Delicious a second chance.
Or maybe a first chance actually.. (Will: Exactly!)
Ask Big Brother Interview: Marcellas
Are you going back to Housecalls?
MARCELLAS: I'm doing the episode tomorrow (Wednesday) and the episode on Thursday.
What about Big Brother 8?
MARCELLAS: Yeah, I'm coming back. My contract was for two years. I got a bump (in pay) this year and I get one next year so I'm happy to be coming back. Apparently it wasn't the same without me, although I heard Jase was very good.
Well.. he was entertaining, I don't know about good.
MARCELLAS: (laughs) Yeah, right.
It just seems like you watch the feeds and actually know what's going on...
MARCELLAS: I'm very passionate about Big Brother. I believe in the show, in the format. It's one of the great reality shows out there. I think it's more than a stupid reality show where people run around and hook up. At the core it's how strangers respond to each other. In a season like this where we basically all knew each it's really about the money. It's about how avaricious you're going to be, how far you're going to go to get that money.
Where do you and Janelle stand now?
MARCELLAS: I love Buxom! (Janelle was walking by when he said this, she said "I love you too Marci" and they hugged.) More than anything. This was my girl. (Howie walks up and joins the duo.) And this is my other girl!
When you said "If you put me up I'm gone" was that gameplay or was that your firm belief?
MARCELLAS: No, I knew it. There are just some players that if you get the chance to get rid of them you have to get rid of them. I was one of those. It's like Kaysar, you're not going to get many cracks at the Iraqi peach. You take it. Those are the mistakes that were made this season. When Will went up against Jase, yeah Jase was annoying and crazy but we had the chance to get rid of Will and we should have taken it.
Ask Big Brother Interview: Jase
Which is more fun, being a houseguest or being on Housecalls?
JASE: Housecalls is definitely more fun. Actually going to the zoo and watching monkeys throw turds at each other is better than being a houseguest.
Who would you want to take you out if you could choose?
JASE: Will. Will's the master. Actually I'd rather Will sets something in action to get me out.
And that's kind of what he did...
JASE: Yep. That's his M.O.
Of the final four, who would you have wanted to be aligned with?
JASE: Chicken George.
Um, he didn't finish in the top four...
JASE: Oh then, Erika. I'd want to be aligned with her because she sucks and everyone knows it.
Ask Big Brother Interview: Danielle
First off, when you asked Howie about "Spool of Lies" I was cracking up because you were really in your mom role there. (Danielle laughs)
DANIELLE: I couldn't believe he did that. Did he really say that?
No.
DANIELLE: Oh good... whew, I was worried about him.
What do you think the point is of threatening to withhold a jury vote?
DANIELLE: I'm trying anything possible so that she won't kick me out. I had to do it. That's really all I had left.
Was reconciling with Marcellas surprising?
DANIELLE: No, I knew. I'm not shocked at all. I knew we would pick up where we left off (ed note: meaning healing?)
How long could you do solitary if you had to?
DANIELLE: Umm.. three days. Only if I had to.
I've heard you're a Red Zinfandel fan? Got any recommendations?
DANIELLE: Ravenswood is good, Kenwood, I love that one.
Is Sequester a good place to decompress or do you end up just wanting to get back to your real life?
DANIELLE: It's a great place to decompress. You have to have it.
Wasn't taking you out the best movie for Chilltown?
DANIELLE: Oh Yeah! It was the best move because after James I was done dealing with them.
Ask Big Brother Interview: Diane
Boogie mentioned on the show that you were another potential showmance target.
DIANE: No, listen, Will and Boogie both tried to get me to have a showmance the first four weeks of the show. I told them no every day for four weeks. He knew there was no showmance happening.
From your CBS profile I saw you play old school Nintendo. What's your favorite game?
DIANE: Tetris. They're all good though, but I'll play any Tetris you give me.
If you won HoH who were you targeting?
DIANE: Anybody from season six.
Are there people you wouldn't hang out with outside the house?
DIANE: Actually I can make that easy, there are only going to be a few people I would. Boogie, Will, Nakomis. (ed note: at this point Howie coughs suggestively in the background, Diane looks petrified. Howie leaves and she shakes her head meaning her and Howie won't be getting together anytime soon...) And of course Marcellas.
Was there anyone in the house that intimidated you?
DIANE: Janelle. We were fighting for this alpha female role that neither of us really cared about... but there was this weird tension, I still haven't figured it out.
Ask Big Brother Interview: Nakomis
Do you change the hair to avoid getting noticed?
NAKOMIS: Actually the more I change it the more I get recognized.
Do you miss the action once you are out of the house or is it more of a release?
NAKOMIS: This season week two was the perfect time for me to leave. It was just not where I wanted to be this year.
Who would you have voted for if you were on the jury?
NAKOMIS: I would've voted for Mike.
Who would you have wanted to face in the finals?
NAKOMIS: I probably would've wanted to be there against people like Chicken George, James, Janelle, people who ignited people's passions this year.
Do you feel like you were too quiet?
NAKOMIS: During week one I tried to keep Allison and week two I was on the block so I couldn't really do much... (ed note: she was quiet in the interview too!)

Rufus- 09-15-2006
Awesome interview! I love how Janelle admits to being drunk at the Today Show and that she fell off her chair, too funny. And Jase would rather go to the zoo and watch monkeys throw turds at each other! Love it!!!!
