Pool - Leg 10a Results!
I'm a little OCD as well as ADD, so I just can't stand to have a week with no action on the leaderboard. So, I'm scoring the first half of leg 10 like I would any other week, with the exception of giving the Weaver & Bransen families only half the normal points for finishing a leg. Also, next week, all teams will start off with the 25 "still in the game" points even though technically it's the same leg as this week. Oh yeah; even though we had a player yielded in the first half of the leg (10a), I will allow players to make Yield nominations for the second half as well (10b). The only catch is that the player yielded in leg 10a cannot be yielded in 10b. Getting yielded twice in one leg would just be wrong! There was a large increase in the number of Yield nominations this week--have you all been waiting until the last few legs to take people out??? :shock: :smile: There are 3 more hours of The Amazing Race this season (1 hour December 6 and the 2-hour finale on December 13), so if you haven't used one yet, your opportunities to do so are running out! Speaking of Yields...I love the Yield. It and the Fast Forward are two of the coolest parts of the Amazing Race to me. So I have a little Bonus surprise tied to the Yield. The first player to use each of his/her 3 Yields will recieve a bonus of 180 points--all the points he/she took from others! :twisted: I kept this as a secret so that people wouldn't Yield just to get the points--I want you Yielding for the right reasons! :twisted: So congrats, Sam I Am; your hardcore playing earned you 180 bonus points and launched you to the front of the pack for leg 10a! You get to pick a Winner's Choice category for leg 10b. I'm also going to keep Latinogirl's "crybaby" category for leg 10b since, technically, it's the same leg...and I just know Chris Godlewski is ripe for a meltdown. :twisted: jmarsh98 is still our leader, but idolfan is now only 124 points behind him!
