Now I lay me down to sleep How many pillows do you like to use? Do you have a special type of pillow or different sized pillows? Do you sleep on top of the covers, with just a sheet, with sheet & comforter & the whole nine yards? Do you like to have air circulating in the room or do you prefer to have the fan or air conditioner off for quiet? Are you a cover hog or the victim of a cover hog? Do your pets (or children) share the bed with you? Do you read before going to sleep or have a drink of water?
I like to have two pillows. I've tried using a body pillow (a long pillow, about twice the length of regular pillows, that you can rest your legs or back on) but I just found it awkward and uncomfortable. Mine kept ending up on the floor. I have a Tempur-pedic pillow and I love it so much I'd like to get a Tempur-pedic mattress someday.
I don't care for sheets. They tend to get twisted around, halfway on and halfway off me all night so I just use a comforter. The only time I'll use a sheet is during the summer when it's too hot to have a blanket on the bed.
I hate having a draft on me so no matter how warm it is I like to have something covering me.
I have restless leg syndrome so I have to keep my legs moving and turn over frequently during the night. That makes it difficult for the cats sleeping with me. Most nights, I'll go to sleep with at least one or two cats on the bed but by morning they'll be off the bed. I know I've kicked cats off the bed before, probably more often than I realize!
I don't like to eat or drink anything before going to bed but once in a while I will have a glass of milk before bed. If I haven't had any milk all day, I'll have some in the evening just to ward off osteoporosis.
I don't read in bed in the evening too much anymore, although I do read while I'm taking my bath before bed.

I use two pillows. I like having plenty of head support.
One blanket for me and a sheet and blanket for the wife. She's a cover thief and we made the seperate blanket arrangement years ago.
Body pillows? Tried them. Sometimes okay, most times just lose them onto the floor.
Oh...and I have to have the ceiling fan on. I LIKE having cool air in the bedroom year round. Plus the white noise is soothing.
As for reading in bed....ALWAYS! I never go to bed without a book.

I sleep with a sheet and comforter. When it's cold (and Hubby isn't home), I'll add a quilt I made.
Hubby likes the ceiling fan, but it's off when he is not home.
I sleep in a nightshirt (t-shirt type) because I can't stand stuff on my legs...no long nightgowns or pajama pants for me. I feel constricted.

Oh, nothing feels more comfy than a handmade quilt! When I was little I always slept with one of the quilts my great grandma made. My sister and I both had our favorities of the quilts she made. I took mine with me when I moved out on my own. I've had to make a few repairs to it over the years and I haven't used it in a while. I didn't want it to get so destroyed I'd have to throw it out so for now I'm making do with just a comforter.
I'd love to get another quilt with a flannel lining. It's so nice, soft and warm.
I like nightshirts for the same reasons you mentioned, Brinna. I don't like clothes on my legs while I'm trying to sleep. I like my legs covered but not encased in restrictive fabric.
