New for TAR8
It seems that the show will be pretty much the same, with a few exceptions. The kid-friendly con-*test*-('"), which includes fewer non-elimination episodes, did require certain concessions: Over the 30-day race, filmed mostly in July, teams traveled 30,000 miles, far less than the 72,000 traversed by teams on the sixth season. And more family-friendly, less-crowded locales were chosen. http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2005-08-16-amazing-race_x.htm Fewer non-eliminations is good! But there were what, three last season? So does that mean now we get 2? Or maybe they will take all of them out. Woohoo! The article also mentions that the Yield is more of a factor this season. Yay!

Re: New Changes
Fewer non-elimination episodes means less episodes in total, though. Right? Family-friendly locations? Hmmm, could than mean the finish line is at Disney Land or Disney World this season?

Maybe fewer episodes, though maybe more To Be Continued episodes, or 2-hour episodes. The premiere is scheduled to be a 2-hour show. With all those team members running around, it may be hard to fit the early episodes into just one hour.

If it ends earlier, doesn't that mean that we will get to see TAR 9 sooner? There are fewer teams, and fewer non elims. Yet, as Brad says they can always extend the episodes into To be Continued ones. We'll have to wait and see.

Re: To Be Continued
I prefer the To Be Continued... episodes over the non-elimination episodes.
