American Idol is coming to town
I was watching Hell's Kitchen and a commercial came on advertising that there will be tryouts for American Idol at the North Florida Fairgrounds (less than 3 miles from me) this weekend. Apparently it's not the final auditions with Simon, Paula and Randy but it's still exciting! I'm wondering if I ought to go and take some pictures with my video camera. You never know if the next American Idol could end up coming from Tallahassee. One of the con-*test*-('")ants on the Apprentice one season was from here and one season of America's Next Top Model had two girls from Tallahassee. Idol Auditions

2006 Idol Auditions Thomasville-Tallahassee-Valdosta FOX49 is once again looking for the areas best performers to represent the Big Bend on the 6th season of American Idol on FOX next January. The winner of this years competition will receive a trip for two to a guaranteed show audition in front of American Idol Judges for the 6th season of Idol on FOX. Our winner will also receive a 10 song recording session at Summerhill Digital Recording Studio in Cairo. Ga. There are 3 phases of competition this year. The first wave takes us to Thomasville to find the best 10 performers in South Georgia. Then we travel to Tallahassee to find the 10 best that North Florida has to offer. The 20 finalists from these 2 competitions will travel to Valdosta for the Idol Finals LIVE at Wild Adventures.
