Friday, November 17, 2006 NOT NEARLY ENOUGH Tad worried when Aidan loaded a gun and stuck it in his waistband, but Aidan insisted it was merely an ace up his sleeve. Tad begged him to put it back in the drawer; he promised David wouldn’t get off without some kind of payback. Di arrived, and told Tad she was so sorry that the DNA results showed Emma wasn’t Kate. After Tad left, Di blamed herself for the pain her family was feeling. All her life she was looking for a family, and now that she’d finally found one, how was it that she’d done everything to hurt them? She’s the one that helped David, and she should be taking the hit, not the people she loved. She couldn’t let it end like this, and would do anything to find Kate. Aidan urged her to leave it to him. I’M ALREADY ON IT When J.R. woke up and said he wanted Babe gone for good, Adam assured him he was already on it. Dixie questioned if he wanted to kind of erase the fact that Babe is married to their son? Adam asked what the hell happened to her? She was just as angry at Babe as the rest of them, and now she’s her champion? Dixie felt the two of them knew firsthand that people make mistakes, but Little Adam shouldn't have to suffer because of his mother's obvious bad judgment. Babe and J.R. could work something out so that the child didn’t have to be taken from his mother. They could fix this so that it worked for everybody. Adam agreed, “I'm going to fix it, all right. Just watch me.” Dixie was moved to learn that Tad’s words had brought J.R. back. He told her that David was gone, but he wasn’t going to let him get away with what he’d done. Tad assured her they wouldn’t stop looking until they found their little girl, and suggested she go home and get some rest. Dixie thanked him for everything; Tad was pleased when she kisses his cheek before leaving. When J.R. asked how his mother was really doing, Tad said he didn’t think it hit her yet that Emma wasn’t Kate. It was hard, but they would start over from scratch, and his mother was going to need him more than ever; they all were. J.R. was really sorry, and said he really wanted another little sister. MAKE IT GO AWAY Babe came home, and Krystal hurried to give her a big hug. “Oh, make it go away, Mama,” Babe sighed, “You always know how to fix everything.” She loved J.R. so much—how could she let this happen? Krystal thought she’d be surprised how many people have walked in those very same shoes. When Babe sighed she must hate her, Krystal asked how she could hate her when she was guilty of doing the very same thing? The child she was carrying wasn’t her husband’s, “God help me, this is Tad's little girl.” ON THE SAME PAGE Jamie found Julia on the beach and asked why she ran away from him? How did they go from being happy together to just leaving well enough alone? What changed? “Did someone get to you?” Julia called it just common sense as they were going in different directions. Jamie knew there was more to it, and asked what was so terrible that she couldn’t say it to his face. Julia admitted she loved him, and Jamie was able to convince her that he felt the same way about her, and they were on the same page. NO DAMN WAY! Adam came home and presented Babe with a court order giving him custody of Little Adam as long as J.R. was in the hospital. She would pack her bags and vacate the premises before J.R. got home, “And you will leave Little Adam with me.” Babe asked if he actually thought he could get away with this? She ripped the papers up as she said it was never going to happen because she had a document in her safe-deposit box guaranteeing that she would never walk away from her little boy. Adam calls those custody papers garbage, but Krystal insisted there was no damn way he’d take Little Adam away from his mama! When Adam maintained he was only honoring his son’s wishes, Krystal said If Babe goes, then she goes with her, and this child goes with her, too. Adam insisted he wouldn’t let her do that. ONE TOUCHING SCENE As Dixie went to parking garage, David stepped out of the shadows and said that was one touching scene, “You and Tad outside Junior's hospital room? Nearly brought a tear to my eye.” When Dixie demanded to know what he wanted, David smiled, “Dixie, my former love, I'm just getting started.” Dixie said he still didn’t get it, does he? He never reached her the way Tad did. She may have been in his bed, but Tad was always in her heart. It wasn’t Tad’s fault she chose him over David. When she said he really was evil, David noted even the evil could be of assistance sometimes. She seemed so dead set on giving Tad back his little girl. Well, if it will would her feel any better, it wasn’t too late. Dixie told him to go to Hell, but David advised her to talk to Krystal, “She’s carrying Tad’s child.” CHARLOTTE IS MY BABY, TOO! Krystal told Adam she was serious, “You separate Babe and Little A, and I will walk out that door and I will take this child with me!” Adam pro-*test*-('")ed that Charlotte was his baby, too. She couldn’t just take her! Adam looked at her in surprise as Krystal warned, “God help me, I can take this child this very second.”

Monday, November 20, 2006 HERE TO TALK TURKEY Bianca told Jack it was almost Thanksgiving and they had no plans, but she’d take care of everything. Jack didn’t think Erica would make it, and admitted things had blown up between them. Bianca guessed Erica had refused to come home—did she say why? She just wanted to get the whole family together for Thanksgiving. Jack said he asked Erica to come home, but she accused him of throwing down an ultimatum. But, regardless of Erica’s plans, there would be a Thanksgiving dinner here, and he’d love it if she and Kendall were part of it. Bianca insisted Thanksgiving was all about family, not him here and her mom on the other side of town. If she didn’t come home, what did that mean for them? Jack didn’t know, but wasn’t not going to stop living because she was out trying to find herself, or whatever the hell it was she’s doing. He was going to take care of this family, and that meant a Thanksgiving with all the trimmings, Erica or no Erica. Lily noted her dad had been working so hard so he wouldn’t have to think about his problems with Erica. Jack took the opportunity to tell her how sorry he was that he hadn’t allowed himself to see how much Jonathan loved her; if she wanted him back in her life, it was fine with him. Lily said it would never work, they were too different, and wondered if that was why he and Erica broke up? She told her dad that he was wrong about Jonathan, and he said that Erica wanted to stay away from him, “You might be wrong about her, too.” THE HELL WITH THE RULES! In his hospital room, J.R. opened his eyes to find Erica staring down at him; she refused to leave until he’d admitted all he’d done to hurt her family. Jeff came in and insisted that she leave, but Erica asked how he could even treat the man who wanted their son dead? Jeff said it was his job, and insisted she leave with him. Alone in his room, J.R. was obviously in agony. Back at her hotel room, Erica said J.R. just told her he still wanted Josh dead—how in the world could he be his doctor? Jeff said he took an oath, which he would honor as long as he practiced medicine. Erica called that one of his biggest problems—he always follows the rules! Jeff disagreed, “I'm falling back in love with a married woman and I want her very much.” Bianca came through the door as Jeff concluded, “The hell with the rules!” Bianca wasn’t pleased to find Erica and Jeff together again, and urged her mother to come home for the holiday. Erica refused, saying if it was that important to Jack, he could have asked her. Bianca wondered if he had asked her, would she have accepted, or accused him of pressuring her? Erica said she just wasn’t ready yet, and Bianca questioned why she wouldn’t go home? She was impossible! REAL HOPE OUT THERE “Krystal’s baby is Tad’s?” Dixie repeated. David said that’s right, that little bundle of joy was packed with Martin chromosomes, “Now that is a kick in the gut, isn’t it? Tad has a baby and you don’t.” As Dixie looked at him in disbelief, Tad came into the parking garage and attacked David. Dixie begged Tad to stop it—there had been too much violence already! David left, wishing them good luck with their "together forever" crap. Tad saw how upset Dixie was, and asked what David had said to her? Dixie urged Tad to let it go, as their son needed them. She left to take care of something, promising there was real hope out there… A PLACE OF FORGIVENESS When Zach surprised Kendall with a romantic lobster dinner at Fusion, she told him about not letting Babe walk out—she had to be crazy! Zach didn’t think that came from a place of craziness, but a place of forgiveness, the same way she forgave him, and his sins were a lot bigger than Babe’s. Kendall said she forgave him because she was in love with him, but she was in complete hate with Babe and now she’s stuck with her. As they shared a kiss, Bianca arrived and said their mom and Uncle Jack were a complete disaster, and they had to get them back together again. What was so difficult about sharing one meal together? Zach said it was a Kane Thanksgiving. He was there last year—it wasn’t great! Bianca told him not to worry, it was going to be different this year. Themes of the day were peace, love and forgiveness! “Five to one, turkey day's going to be a bust,” Zach bet. Kendall thought she and Binks might have to ambush both of them. Maybe she should work on one of them, and Bianca the other? Bianca agreed, but who takes the third party? Their mom was all about finding herself right now, “But every time I see her, she's finding herself next to Husband Number One.” THIS IS MY BATTLE Babe stopped Krystal from blurting out that the baby was Tad’s. Krystal begged Adam to let Babe stay, and was grateful when he agreed. Babe told Adam to hate her all he wants, but not her mama. She’d never seen her love anyone the way she loves him, so don’t turn this on her. When Adam went to call the hospital for an update on J.R., Babe told Krystal this was her battle, and she could handle Adam. If he were to ever find out the baby she’s carrying was Tad’s… Krystal knew, it would be the end of her marriage. As Babe stood out on the terrace, she looked up to see Josh standing there. Dixie came to the door; Adam came up as Dixie told Krystal she needed to talk to her about her baby. I’LL FIGHT FOR YOU After Bianca left, Jeff returned and Erica said Bianca wanted her to have Thanksgiving diner with the family. Jeff knew she wanted to fight for her marriage. What could be better than sharing a drumstick with Jack? Erica didn’t think that Jack wanted to share a drumstick, or anything else with her. Jeff told her Jack’s a fool, and he’s not, “I'm here. And I'll fight for you.” As they kissed, Jack approaches the room. JUST YOU AND ME David went to J.R.’s room and removed the monitor wires so the nurses wouldn’t interrupt them, “In other words, Junior, it's just you and me.”

Tuesday, November 21, 2006 WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO SAY? Jeff and Erica’s kiss was interrupted when Jack knocked on the door. Seeing Jeff in his wife’s room, Jack started to walk away, but Erica stopped him. He noted it seemed that she was right where she wanted to be, living here, sandwiched between her ex-husband and her son. What else was there to say? Erica suggested, “I'm sorry?” Jack wondered if she was sorry, and Erica indignantly asked what she had to be sorry about? At the very least, he owed her several apologies! Jack disagreed, citing how she’d needed time away, for her work, for Josh, for whatever the hell else was going on. Her time was up, “So are you coming home or not?” When Erica said no, she’s not, Jack left. Back inside her room, Erica realized she had to go home and save her marriage. When she told Jeff of her decision, he kissed her cheek and said he just wanted her to be happy. FINDING SOME PEACE Adam was annoyed that Dixie came to talk to Krystal, questioning how their baby could be any of her business? Dixie told him, “I didn’t come to talk to you about your child. I came to talk to Krystal about Tad’s.” She appealed to Krystal, saying Tad just needed something to hold on to, and asked if she could help him find some peace about his child? Krystal told Adam that Dixie just needed somebody to listen and to sympathize for a few minutes and then she'd be gone. Adam warned Dixie not to take advantage of his wife's kindness; her top priority is our baby. Alone with Krystal, Dixie asked if she was pregnant with Tad’s child? Krystal insisted Adam was the father, and was taken aback when Dixie told her David had run -*test*-('")s, and her daughter was Tad’s. Insisting she loved her husband and the baby was his, Krystal told Dixie she couldn’t let her hurt her family, and this baby couldn’t heal Tad's broken heart. YOU ARE YOUR OWN TROUBLE Jack went to the Roadside Bar, where he found his nephew and his friends using fake ID to get served. Sean noted he was slumming, and guessed that meant woman trouble. Jack wasn’t amused by his suggestion that they have a drink, and told Sean he was his own trouble. THAT’S THE HELL OF IT When Josh showed up on the Chandler terrace, Babe insisted he couldn’t be there, but was unable to tell him to leave. She repeated that she was going to stay and make her marriage work, but Josh believed J.R. could never forgive her for cheating with him. Babe pro-*test*-('")ed he’d forgiven her for so much before. She wrecked it, but she could make it right. Josh stepped out of sight when Adam came out on the terrace. Adam told Babe he was prepared to make this thing work for Krystal as well as the rest of the family, but how could he be sure of her intentions? Babe said she loved J.R., and he needed to know she loved him no matter what, and that real love could survive huge mistakes. Adam told her he loved Krystal more than any woman he’d ever met, but if she cheated on him, Krystal would be dead to him. Babe thanked him for allowing her to stay, and for trying to put their family back together again. Adam went inside, and Josh came back on the terrace. Babe smiled at his thoughtfulness when he brought her peanut butter and banana pancakes. AN IDEAL FIX Tad tried to pick a fight at the Roadside Bar, but Jamie and Julia arrived in time to prevent one. Back home, Tad thought going out and starting another fight beat the hell out of staying around there—this whole house reeked of David Hayward! He admitted how he’d had him down on the ground, his one chance to get Hayward out of their lives, but Dixie stopped him. Julia thought Tad would have stopped himself, because living with blood on his hands would eat him alive. Tad admitted he knew they’d never find Kate. YOU FIGHT LIKE A CHANDLER David stuck the monitoring devices on his own chest so the nurses would look on the screen and think J.R. was fine, and then tormented J.R., warning he’d kill him if he hurt Babe. Hayward took great pleasure in causing J.R. even more physical pain than he was already in, and seeing the fear in his eyes. Colby came in and stopped him, and the nurse didn’t believe what she was saying. David slipped out unnoticed, and Colby asked if she should call Security or the police? J.R. managed a smile as he said no, not with her around, “You fight like a Chandler.” Colby blamed herself for J.R.’s pain, feeling she had given David the ammunition he needed to hurt her brother. She was surprised when J.R. apologized to her for not believing her. Colby admitted what she did was heinous, but it was out of love. She wanted her brother back. When she was little, they were close. He loved her. J.R. said he still did. Colby carefully laid her head on his chest, and he stoked her hair as he repeated, “I still do.” RIGHT ALONGSIDE YOU Dixie left, and Krystal told Adam that she must still love Tad on some level. Adam agreed, they shared a child, and that was a lifetime bond. He spoke of the family they would nurture together, and said he would decimate anyone who dared try to destroy it. Krystal agreed, “I will be fighting right alongside you, husband.” They shared a kiss, and headed upstairs to bed. Outside, Dixie was pensive; she turned back and looked at the door.

Wednesday, November 22, 2006 DISRUPTIVE? CANCELLED? Kendall was upset to learn that the Valley Inn had cancelled the Kane-Montgomery reservations for Thanksgiving, citing previous complaints about their disruptive behavior the last two years. She angrily said she didn't care what happened last year or the year before that or back when they were serving the freakin' pilgrims. This was her son's first Thanksgiving, and they were going to be happy no matter what! Zach suggested a family dinner in the casino's dining room, but Kendall sighed she wanted this Thanksgiving to be special. Last year was such a disaster. She could still see Greenlee's face when she told everyone that she was carrying her own baby with Ryan; her whole world fell apart that day. Zach noted she put it back together. Kendall sighed everything should be good, but now Spike's family was one big, fighting mess with no dinner reservations. Zach vowed to make sure they had a perfect Thanksgiving dinner, even if he had to use a gun. A DIFFERENT OUTFIT FOR EVERY COURSE OF THANKSGIVING DINNER As Erica packed to check out of the Valley Inn and go home, she was stunned to find that Jack had had her entire wardrobe delivered to the hotel. As she ranted and raved, Zach came through the open door and told her to look at the bright side, "At least now you have a different outfit for every course of Thanksgiving dinner." Erica declared she wouldn't have Thanksgiving dinner with Jack Montgomery if it were her last meal on Earth! Zach told her it was Spike's first Thanksgiving, time to put their hostilities behind and present a united front, "For the boy." The important thing was to keep his wife happy; she wanted a perfect Thanksgiving for her son, and he was going to give it to her. Kendall wanted a Kane/Montgomery Thanksgiving dinner, and that meant Erica Kane and Jack Montgomery at the same table. Erica insisted this year, there would be no family gathering. Zach noted she loved Kendall and wanted to help her as long as she didn't have to lift a finger, "Got it." He left, and Erica told the manager she wouldn't be checking out after all; she was staying there for the duration. GODDESSES ARE ALWAYS CONNECTED At their scheduled visitation, Emma was upset that she couldn't go home with her mommy. Annie suggested they play a game, reminding Emma how they'd read about the Greek goddess, Athena, who was so brave and strong. They should both pretend they were Athena, and even when they were apart, they really wouldn't be apart because goddesses were always connected no matter what, right? She told Emma she was so proud of her. Could she just stay strong and brave for Mommy just for a little while longer? Emma nodded, and Annie gave her a big hug. I'M NO HERO At the hospital, Jeff asked a nurse to call the lab again and find out what was taking so long on Annie McDermott's -*test*-('") results. Josh arrived in response to Jeff's call, and was pleased when Jeff said how proud he was of him for saving J.R.'s life-a man he despised, the husband of the woman he loved. Josh said he's no hero-he didn't exactly spring into action the second he saw him. Jeff agreed, but he took the time to think. That made it even more impressive. Jeff knew the Chandlers had cast him as Public Enemy #1, so he'd gone into the defensive mode, put up his defenses, which was a good strategy…he'd done it himself, "But, son, there's one thing… You never have to protect yourself from me." CRISIS AVERTED Kendall panicked when she thought Spike had swallowed a button; she cried out for help as Ryan and Annie were returning from the Miranda Center. After calling 9-1-1 and Spike's pediatrician, Kendall was relieved when Ryan found the button, crisis averted. She asked to speak to Ryan alone, and was pleased when he agreed that Spike should spend the holiday with both of his parents. As Ryan helped choose an outfit for their son, Annie knocked on the door and told him that Dr. Martin called, "We have to go." SHE'LL DO YOU AND THEN SHE'LL DO YOU WRONG! Adam came into J.R.'s room and smiled at the sight of Colby asleep with her head on her brother's chest; seeing his two children like this, he knew they could get through anything. When Babe came in, Adam thought it would be best if she left, but J.R. wanted to talk to her alone. Babe told J.R. she never stopped loving him. She was going to stay in their home and fight for them, for their family and their marriage. She begged him to talk to her, yell at her, tell her how angry he was-she could take anything that would help them get through this, "You'll talk to me?" J.R. nodded, but gestured that his throat was dry. Babe poured a cup of water and handed it to him; she was devastated when he threw it in her face and started shouting about what a cheating, lying slut she was-he wanted her gone! Josh agreed to have Thanksgiving dinner with Jeff, and told him he would wait as long as he had to for Babe to come around and see J.R. for the lost cause that he was. Adam told Babe to prove she loved J.R. by staying away from him. J.R. looked at the photo of their family that Babe brought, and tore her out of the picture as Josh came into the room. LOTS MORE ENVELOPES Jeff opened the first envelope and told Annie, "There's no match between you and Emma." Ryan told Annie, "Lots more envelopes, lots more." WELL, SHE WON'T BE THERE Brooke was surprised to see Jack at the Miranda Center, saying she thought she was the only one on the volunteer roster today. Jack invited her to a last-minute Thanksgiving Day thing at the Valley Inn. Asked about Erica and her daughters, Jack said Bianca and Kendall would love it, "And Erica? Well, she won't be there." ENLIGHTEN ME David arrived and commented on Kendall handing Ryan off to Annie; she chose Zach, so Ryan ends up with Annie by default, which actually made perfect sense. Kendall said to enlighten her-what made perfect sense? David replied, "Ryan is the father of Annie's little girl."

pika- 01-11-2007

Monday, November 27, 2006 ONE OF THE MOST INTERESTING DINNERS IN YEARS Zach, with the help of some Benjamins, was able to convince the Valley Inn to host the annual Kane-Montgomery Thanksgiving dinner. Erica found Bianca putting place cards on the table and exclaimed she was not going to share a holiday table with Jack! Bianca stood firm and declared that her daughters were going to have a happy Thanksgiving for once, even if it killed them! When Erica insisted that nothing was going on between her and Jeff, Bianca told her that was exactly what Maggie said to her when she found her with Cecelia. Bianca spoke of how much her Uncle Jack loved Erica, and how he wanted her to come home. Erica told her she had been about to go home, but Jack sent all her clothes to the hotel. Bianca insisted they could work it out, and the clothes could be sent back home. She urged her to stay for Thanksgiving dinner; it would mean so much to Jack, and to her and Kendall. As Erica agreed to stay, Jack came in with Brooke. Saying she had an errand to run but would be right back, Erica left. Jack offered Brooke an out, but she thought this was going to be one of the most interesting Thanksgiving dinners she’d been to in years. GOOD DEED FOR THE DAY? Kendall said David was lying. Her son, Spike, was Ryan’s only child, so whatever he was trying to pull, he could just leave. David swore on his daughter’s grave that Emma McDermott was Ryan’s daughter, Spike’s big sister. When she and Ryan ordered a -*test*-('") to determine Spike’s paternity, Ryan’s DNA was entered in the hospital’s database. He ran Emma’s through the database just for kicks, and imagine his surprise that Emma had Ryan’s DNA across every cell of her body! David spoke of how this news would take time away from Spike, adding he never said a word to Ryan, and was going to leave that entirely up to her. Zach arrived home as Kendall ordered Hayward out. Saying he’d done his good deed for the day, David left; Zach asked Kendall what that was all about? Kendall didn’t want to talk about David, saying he just wanted to stir up as much trouble as possible. NO MATCH Jeff opened envelope after envelope, all with the same DNA -*test*-('") results, “No match.” Annie worried they were going to take her little girl away forever, but Jeff urged her not to give up hope; there were four more -*test*-('")s to come, and all they needed was one match. He went to get the results, and Ryan taught Annie a card trick to keep her mind off the possibility that Emma would remain in foster care. Jeff returned with the last four -*test*-('")s; Annie was terrified when the first three also showed no match. They all held their breath as Annie opened the last envelope; she joyfully hugged Ryan when the -*test*-('") showed she was Emma’s mother. The social worker returned with Emma, who hugged Ryan and her mom when she learned she was going home. SOME THINGS CAN BE FORGIVEN Dixie found Babe sobbing, and asked if something had happened to J.R.? Babe said he was the same, and wondered if there was any way to make things right again? She loved him so much, and never meant for any of this to happen. She was scared of losing him, and all the pain he was in was her fault. She wanted to fight for their marriage and nurse him back to health, but J.R. didn’t want anything to do with her. Dixie encouraged Babe, reminding her that J.R. had forgiven her. When J.R. told Josh to come closer, Josh asked what he was going to do? “Go on, try it!” He thanked for proving his point to Babe. J.R. told him to take the bitch and go, but leave his son alone. As Josh warned him about ever trashing Babe again, Tad came in and told him to get out. Saying when Babe came to him, she’d be bringing her son, Josh left. When he saw Babe and said he was there for her, Adam came up and noted, “So much for it being over with Josh.” Josh wondered if Babe finally got it, that there was no future for her with that family. Babe told Josh to stop loving her—he was killing her! Dixie wanted Tad to tell their son that forgiveness was always possible—they were prime examples! Tad thought it was too soon to talk about it, but Dixie insisted it was Thanksgiving, a time to be grateful for the blessings in their lives, so tell him it was always possible to forgive even the worst mistakes. Tad had to agree it was possible, but also said he understood the pain J.R. was feeling. The really tough part was getting over the anger, but life was too short to waste on it. J.R. insisted Babe was out of his life for good. Erica came to the hospital and overheard Babe insisting to Josh that she loved J.R. and the two of them were over. Josh walked away, and Erica told Babe that Josh was way too good for her. She’d just said the smar-*test*-('") words to him that ever came out of her mouth, and she just better have meant them. She was cheering for her to go and win her husband back—just leave her son alone! Adam brought Little Adam to see J.R., and told Tad to go away—leave his son alone! Tad suggested they bury the hatchet for Thanksgiving, and J.R. told Adam he wanted Tad there with them. It was Thanksgiving. Some things could be forgiven, so how about a truce between the Martins and the Chandlers? Erica found Jeff and Josh, and was pleased when they accepted her invitation to join her for Thanksgiving dinner at the Valley Inn. A PARTING GIFT David recorded a parting gift on DVD, bidding everyone in Pine Valley a fond farewell. As he left it at the Chandlers’ front door, Babe came back to the mansion. FOUR MORE CHAIRS AND A FIRST AID KIT As Jack brought Brooke a little liquid courage, Ryan arrived with Annie and Emma; he said they had a lot to be thankful for, and asked if it was possible they joined them? Bianca said absolutely, and Jack was glad to hear the good news. Seeing Erica come in with Jeff and Josh, Bianca asked Sean to get four more chairs…and a first aid kit! Kendall arrived with Zach and Spike, and was taken aback to find Ryan holding Emma in his arms.

Tuesday, November 28, 2006 JUST CUT THE DAMN DRUGS! After J.R. credited Tad and Dixie with bringing him back from the light and urged family harmony, Adam invited Dixie to move in with them while J.R. recuperates. Dixie gratefully accepted, and Adam further surprised everyone by inviting Tad and Dixie to join his family for Thanksgiving dinner. J.R. was relieved when Jamie admitted there was no way he could root for Josh—the guy was a jerk! Jamie asked what the hell he was thinking, blindly breaking through a window four stories up? J.R. said he couldn't stand being in that room anymore, Josh’s room. He swore, he thought it was a door. He forgot how high up he was, and just had to get out of there. When he said he never wanted another drink in his life, Jamie told him not to just talk about it, do it. Afraid he would become addicted to his painkillers, J.R. asked Jamie to cut him off. Jamie told him to forget it—he could die from that kind of pain. J.R. insisted if he could learn to handle the pain without using anything, he could get through anything in life, “Just cut the damn drugs, James.” BABE IS SUPPOSED TO BE HISTORY! Sydney accused Babe of being responsible for what happened to J.R. because she just had to narc on Babe. Krystal intervened, telling both girls that J.R. was the only one responsible. Colby told Sydney she wasn’t a threat to her anymore, “My father and brother are all about me now, especially now that Babe’s gone.” Krystal said to wait a minute—Babe wasn’t going anywhere! Colby argued that Babe was supposed to be history! Babe was taken aback when David pulled her into a hug, and told her he’d come to say goodbye. He insisted that she’d leave J.R., following Krystal when she left the mansion. He knew this didn’t mean anything to her right now, but someday when she thought back on him, on their relationship, “Just know that despite appearances to the contrary, your father loved you very, very much.” Babe walked into the house; the envelope at the door went unnoticed. FUN TIMES When Erica hoped he wasn’t upset at her inviting Jeff and Josh to join them, Jack agreed he half expected it from her—Erica Kane’s idea of a big, happy family, “Fun times.” Kendall watched Ryan with Emma and thought of David’s declaration that Emma was Ryan’s daughter. When Annie told her the DNA -*test*-('")s proved who Emma really was, Kendall was relieved to learn that Annie was still in the dark about Emma’s biological father. Jeff told Erica to admit she only invited him there to stick it to her husband.” Erica asked if he would hold against her if that were true? Jeff said the more she pushed Jack away, the closer he got to her. Sean wanted to duck out of the family dinner until Amanda arrived; he arranged to be seated next to her. Erica welcomed Ryan, but was less than welcoming to Annie; Annie questioned how many of her husbands she’d invited to this party? Kendall was upset to learn that Emma’s biological father was an anonymous sperm donor; she was impregnated in New York, but the clinic they used was part of a chain, so the donor could be from anywhere. URGENT—OPEN IMMEDIATELY! Krystal was pleased when Babe said David had come to say goodbye, but she’d believe it when she saw it. She was surprised when Adam brought Tad and Dixie home for dinner, and that he’d asked Dixie to move in with them for a while. Colby was upset when Adam confirmed that Babe would be staying, at least for a while. Colby found the envelope David had left, and brought it to Adam, noting it said “Urgent—Open immediately”. PRETTY TAME SO FAR The maitre d' told Zach he promised they would not have a repeat of last year's disaster, “You didn't bribe me enough for a party this large.” Erica pointedly shifted the hosting duties to Jeff, asking him to say grace and carve the turkey. When Josh said the Thanksgiving dinner seemed pretty tame so far, Bianca asked if he was trying to jinx it? After Kendall made it clear that she wanted Annie to leave town, Ryan realized she was worried about his friend and her daughter taking time away from Spike. He assured her that Spike would always come first with him. He was his only child, his life. No kid could compete with that. Kendall called that good, and wanted to keep it that way. As Erica took pot shots at Brooke, Jack and Jeff clashed. Jeff was pleased when Josh defended him to Jeff, calling him his dad for the first time. Lily came prepared, and put her earplugs in when things heated up. Bianca ordered her mother to come to the powder room with her; she begged her to go back out there, apologize, just work it out. Why was it so hard for her to go home? After hearing Lily say Jack might have been right, that he and Erica didn’t belong together, Erica agreed she might have been right, and maybe they should get a divorce. HELLO, MY PRECIOUS ANGEL David went to the cemetery to say goodbye to Leora, assuring her that he’d carry her in his heart wherever he went. He’d stayed in town just long enough to make things right for her. CRAPPY THANKSGIVING! Sean met Colby at the boathouse and wished her, “Crappy Thanksgiving.” When Colby asked for his take on a guy who would take a girl back after she cheated on him, Sean told her truthfully that he had no idea what it was like to care about somebody that much—falling in love had zero appeal to him. Colby asked if all this is because he lost his dad? Sean told her it wasn’t about what he lost, it’s about what he did. His dad wanted one thing more than anything in life, and because of him, he didn't get it, “I gypped my dad out of the one woman he ever really loved.” ALLOW ME Babe and Krystal tried to divert Adam from the DVD, but Adam and Tad wanted to hear what Hayward had to say. On the DVD, David reiterated that Krystal would leave the house and Babe would follow, “Are you there, Dixie? You know what I'm talking about, don't you? You have the ammunition to get the ball rolling. But in case you don't have the guts to use it, allow me.”

Wednesday, November 29, 2006 THIS PARTY’S OVER The Kane-Montgomery Thanksgiving dinner came to a screeching halt when Erica suggested to Jack that maybe they didn’t belong together and should get a divorce. She left the room, wanting to be alone, but couldn’t resist stopping to tell Brooke that she must be thrilled, she just got the go-ahead. Later, Brooke offered her support to Jack, and asked when they were getting married? The restaurant manager told Zach he could offer to grease his palm with all the tea in China, but this was the last Thanksgiving this circus of a family would ever spend at the Valley Inn. Lily told her dad if the marriage wasn’t going to work out, then it was really best in the long run that they break up. Kendall asked Bianca what they should do now? When she said someone should go up and be with their mom, Bianca told her someone already had. Erica was surprised when Josh came to her room, calling him the last person she expected to come up here; she was pleased that he cared enough to check on her, and told her son for the first time that she loved him. Jeff told Jack that Erica had been ready to move back home before he vindictively had all of her things shipped to the hotel, and then he showed up with another woman? If his marriage ended, it was no one’s fault but his own. Jack questioned his motive for speaking up—was he trying to get them back together? Jeff said no, the battle for Erica was just beginning, “I just want to make sure it’s a fair one.” Later, Jack told Brooke that Jeff Martin just might end up with his wife. Brooke thought the only way he was going to lose Erica to Jeff was if he wanted to. Josh returned and told his new sibs it was only a matter of time before Erica was back with Husband Number One. Jeff told Erica he knew she didn’t want a divorce, but she insisted Jack had unfair expectations of her and their marriage. He knew what he signed on for when he asked her to be his wife, so if their marriage fell apart, Jack was solely responsible. Jeff questioned Erica’s suddenly changing from wanting to work on her marriage to wanting a divorce. He wanted her, but if that was going to happen, he needed to know that she wanted him, too. She knew where he stood, and the rest was up to her. PEOPLE DON’T BREAK UP OVER A VISITING NEPHEW Colby was pleased when Sean shared some real things about himself, including his guilt over ruining his dad’s chance for happiness with Erica, and then his uncle’s. The last thing he wanted to do was hurt his Uncle Jack like he hurt his dad. Colby assured him that people don’t break up over a visiting nephew. Sean thought about the night they hooked up on the yacht; he just didn’t want anyone else hurting because of him. Colby said if he thought she was there to hook up with him, she wasn’t. She liked hanging out with him, and he was fun. ONE OF US Kendall and Bianca laughed when Josh argued with them about their mother, saying that showed he cared. Like it or not, it was official—he was one of them, part of the family! THE AMMUNITION TO GET THE BALL ROLLING As David’s message was about to spill the beans, Babe had a meltdown and smashed the TV screen to prevent Adam and Tad from learning Krystal’s secret. She sobbed that David was evil, and that meant she was evil, too. Tad comforted her and assured her that her father didn’t define her any more than his father defined him. He knew she was sitting on a mountain of guilt, and asked if she wanted to talk about it? Babe passed, instead insisting that she loved J.R. and was determined to make their marriage work. Tad offered his help with Little Adam, sure that Adam was going to do something to take the child away from his mother. Adam thought Babe was overreacting to David’s message, and insisted to Krystal that Babe wasn’t a victim and should stop acting like one before she came back in this house and before J.R. came home. Dixie confronted Krystal about her child being Tad’s; Adam came in and wondered if there was a problem he should know about? Dixie covered, and told Krystal she wouldn’t cause any trouble. TO TOMORROW Annie tried to cut Ryan loose to return to his own life after helping her so much over the past few months, but he insisted he wanted to spend more time with her and asked her for a date. Annie was pleased, and they set a date for the following night. THANKSGIVING COME AND GONE At home again, Zach told Spike that Thanksgiving had come and gone, Christmas was next. He explained how that big fat guy running around department stores was going to come right down the chimney and leave presents for him, “I love you, little man.” After putting Spike to bed, Zach went out into the courtyard and stretched as he looked up at the sky. Something on the ground caught his eye, and he bent to pick it up. He was taken aback when he read the words cut from magazines and pasted on a sheet of paper, “You murdered her!”

pika- 01-11-2007

Thursday, November 30, 2006 WE SHOULD ALL BE HAPPY Kendall had a nightmare of Ryan signing away all parental rights to Spike, saying Emma was his child, too, and he had a much better setup with Annie and Emma as his new family. Zach also had a nightmare, of going to the house that reminded him of his childhood home and seeing a young woman in the fog, going over the edge of the balcony. Kendall and Zach, almost simultaneously, woke with a start, their day not starting out well. When Zach wondered if Ryan still planned to take the baby for the day, Kendall became defensive and wondered why he wouldn’t? YOU KILLED ME Babe had a nightmare of Josh kissing her as she gave J.R. a drink, and J.R. downing it before saying she did this, she killed him, and jumping through the window. As Josh said she was now his, Babe looked down and was horrified to see her hands and dress covered with blood. Babe woke with a start; she screamed her husband’s name and looked down at her hands. Lying in his hospital bed, J.R. imagined Babe with Josh, telling Madden she did love him. J.R. pro-*test*-('")ed he loved her and needed her… He screamed in pain, and woke with a start. WERE YOU EVER GOING TO TELL ME? Krystal had a bad dream in which Tad came to her and asked if she was ever going to tell him the baby she was carrying wasn’t Adam’s, it was his? As Adam came in and looked devastated at the news, Krystal woke with a start, and breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of Adam sleeping beside her. When Adam said J.R. would really like having Dixie here, Krystal knew that Babe was another matter. That’s why it meant so much that he was giving them the time to readjust and get back to normal. He’d given her and Babe such a gift, she wished they could do something as amazing for him. Adam reminded her she already had, their daughter, Charlotte. Josh went to see Adam and demanded to know if Babe would be safe living there? If anything happened to her, he swore Adam would pay! COVERED IN DARKNESS Simone, Erin and Dani stepped off the elevator to find the office emptied of furniture and a naked Zarf sitting cross-legged on the floor. Zarf asked where Babe was, his other half, his inspiration-other? Saying they must share their innermost parts, he suggested they join him, remove the obstacles, the disguises, and strip, too. Simone suggested later, after a few cocktails. Zarf declared if he couldn’t trust them with his essence, if they’re not ready for enlightenment, he couldn’t trust them with his work. He was off the project! When Simone dropped her dress, Erin and Dani followed suit as Kendall came in with Spike. Zarf turned to face her, and Kendall demanded, “What the hell are you doing?” Zarf demanded they locate Babe—they were sucking his energy! As Kendall requested that somebody clear this up, Ryan stepped off the elevator and held out an envelope. Kendall feared her nightmare was coming true, and was relieved to see it was Spike's application for preschool. Ryan told Kendall that he and Annie were going to be dating, but assured her that it wouldn’t affect Spike and his relationship with them. Zarf returned, now clothed, as Kendall told Ryan she was cool with it. Ryan left, and Zarf told Kendall she was a liar and had cast a shadow over her aura—she was covered in darkness! Kendall left, telling the girls to get the office back the way it was before she returned. WE’RE BOTH SORRY Bianca was concerned that J.R. had chosen to stop taking any painkillers; she sat with him, holding his hand, and told him to squeeze it—she could take it. Babe came up and looked into the room; she asked Jamie why Bianca was in there? Jamie thought she and J.R. always ended up in a mess, usually with somebody in the hospital. They might get back together for a while, but it would end with one or both of them completely destroyed. Babe should just walk away. J.R. told Bianca he was sorry he’d scared her, and Bianca was sorry, too. When J.R. said Josh could have Babe, Bianca felt he was only saying that because he still loved her. She told J.R. a bit about Maggie, saying they had more in common than he thought; neither of them could get the women out of their heads. THE DREAMS STAY, BUT THE NIGHTMARES GO AWAY Zach went out on the balcony of the house. He peered through the fog and saw a young woman leaning over the edge. He rushed toward her, and was surprised to see it was Babe. Babe sighed she was leaning over, just trying to see what it was like for J.R. She had come there to say goodbye to the house and the dream she’d had of living there. Zach said he’d also had a dream, and thought he could figure out something that happened a long time ago. Babe thought she was looking at the end of her relationship with J.R., but being there reminded her of what she felt when they were there together, and thought they could have that again someday. She mused that maybe this house did save her, “The dreams stay, but the nightmares go away.” DEAL Kendall went to see Krystal to learn if David had really left town. Krystal hoped so. Kendall said Hayward had been spreading lies, and Krystal thought she meant about her. Kendall said no, he’d just made up this horrible stuff to cause trouble. Krystal advised her to forget about it. The two women agreed to keep the other posted if David made any contact. MY QUEST CONTINUES Zarf was delighted when Babe showed up, saying she replenished his energy. Babe wasn’t sure what she could do for him; Zarf thought if she needed to ask, maybe he was wrong about her. They’d try to reconnect after the next full moon, but now, his quest continued. Bianca arrived as he was leaving, and he was obviously captivated by her. T TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE? At the mall, Annie was conned by a teenage boy, but Ryan recognized the con for what it was. Annie, Ryan, Emma and Spike had their picture taken with Santa. WELCOME HOME Zach had Kendall meet him at the house; he welcomed her home, and said he had just bought the place.

pika- 01-25-2007

Friday, December 1, 2006 SELL IT! When Zach said he bought the house for them, Kendall told him to sell it! She reminded him that he’d said he couldn’t live there, and insisted he didn’t have to do that to prove he loved her. Zach said he’d seen Babe, and he realized he turned this house down once because of his past and now he bought it because of his past. He was ready to let go of the bad memories and start making good new ones with her and Spike. As he left, Zach turned to look out on the terrace, and saw a young woman sniffing a flower. He looked again, and she was gone. MEANT TO BE? Zarf knelt at Bianca’s feet and said he had been sent to worship her. Asked if they’d met before, Bianca said she didn’t think so, but he did look very familiar. When Erin and Dani filled her in on his celebrity, Bianca agreed she knew of him, although his music never appealed to her. Zarf called her the very essence of truth, and Bianca quietly told Babe to get her out of there. Babe told her to follow her lead. When Zarf turned to get pad and pen to do her chart, Babe and Bianca beat a hasty retreat to the roof. Zarf turned back to find them gone, and declared he would see this Bianca again, many times. It was meant to be. Babe and Bianca laughed as they escaped to the roof, but Babe turned serious as she told Bianca to go ahead and let her have it for what she did to her brother. Surprised, Bianca said she had no intention of doing that. When Babe repeated that it was over with Josh and she was staying with her husband, Bianca asked why they should believe her? Babe shared that Jamie said she and J.R. were going to keep hurting each other, but she still believed in their love and thought they could move past this to make their marriage work. Erin got Zarf to agree to put the furniture back in the office, just for Bianca, and wondered what was going to happen when Zarf learned that the love of his life was gay. Bianca sighed she was so sick of everybody looking to her for answers. Her life was a mess! What she wanted to know was what was really going on between Babe and J.R. and Josh. How could she be in love with one person and hook up with somebody else? Josh told her that Babe said she loved him. How could she say that if she didn’t mean it? Babe insisted she did mean it, and still did. For once, she chose herself. Josh never pushed himself on her, but he was always there, making damn sure she knew that he loved her and wanted to be with her. Suddenly, she was filled with all these feelings for Josh, “How do you love someone you don't want to love?” Bianca sighed it was easy, “Part of me still loves you.” She makes the wrong choices, but she does it for the right reasons. That's why she makes it so hard to hate her. Bianca urged Babe not to drag it out; she had to choose one man and let the other go. As long as she loved Josh, she was encouraging him, and then she and J.R. wouldn’t stand a chance in Hell. SAY YES! Adam was horrified to see the pain J.R. was in, and accused Jeff of wanting payback for Babe choosing J.R. over his son. Jamie insisted he was wrong, and J.R. told his dad to get out. Jamie told Adam that what J.R. was doing took real courage. He didn’t want him interfering, so he should shut up and leave. When Julia suggested acupuncture as an alternative to drugs, J.R. was resistant. Jamie asks why he always did that, shoot people down who try to help him? He convinced his brother to say yes, and Julia began the treatment, telling J.R. to try to imagine a time when he was really happy. J.R. closed his eyes and thought of his romantic trip to France with Babe. After the treatment, J.R. felt much better and thanked Julia. Jamie hugged her and said she was amazing, while Adam looked in the window and smiled at seeing his son resting comfortably. WHAT DID HE MEAN BY THAT? When Dixie arrived with her luggage, Krystal wanted to make sure everything was settled between them about what David had said. Tad came in and told them he’d traced David’s route out of town; he intended to volunteer at a clinic in Southeast Asia where they were desperate for medical personnel. He might actually do something worthwhile for a change. Tad said that on the DVD that David made, he said Dixie had some kind of ammunition that was going to throw Krystal and Babe out of this house, “What did he mean by that?” Dixie insisted that David was just trying to stir up trouble, and they should just ignore it. I’M NOT GIVING UP Josh entered Babe and J.R.’s bedroom through the tunnels, and put a photo album under the pillow for Babe. As he imagined Babe coming to him and saying she was never going back to J.R., Krystal came in and demanded, “Who are you trying to get killed, yourself or my daughter?” Moved by his explanation of why he made the album for Babe, Krystal agreed she knew he really loved her daughter, and she got that Babe loved him. Josh asked for her help in convincing Babe to leave the mansion, but Krystal knew she couldn’t convince Babe to do anything she didn’t want to do. As Josh said he wasn’t giving up, Babe came in and asked her mama to leave them alone. Babe told Josh she was just with Bianca, who helped her see things more clearly, and she’d made a decision about her future. LIKE BEING STRUCK BY LIGHTNING Zarf came out on the roof and said he was so glad he found her! He came on too strong; he was sorry but he couldn't help it. Did she believe in love at first sight? Bianca said yes, she guessed it’s possible. Zach knew it was possible, because he was falling in love with her. Bianca was speechless when he took her face in his hands and kissed her. THIS MUST REALLY BE A DOOZY Tad returned to speak to Dixie alone, and refused to leave until he got the truth. He pleaded with her to tell him what David said, and Dixie replied, “David told me the child Krystal is carrying is yours.”

pika- 01-25-2007

Monday, December 4, 2006 DO THE MATH! As Dixie told Tad that David said the baby Krystal was carrying was his, Krystal came in and asked if she missed something? Tad covered, telling her he’d just come back to see if Dixie needed help with the move, and Krystal left to meet Adam at the hospital for her doctor appointment. Tad asked Dixie if Krystal knew what David had said? Dixie told him she asked Krystal about the baby, and she thought David was just trying to stir up trouble; she swore it was Adam’s child. Tad groaned, and said they were talking about Hayward here—he did nothing but lie! Dixie insisted that David didn’t know Tad and Krystal had slept together, and the timing was perfect. Just because David had lied before didn’t mean he was lying about this. He deserved his child, and she had been praying that this baby was his. He was a good father, and he needed something good to hold onto. Tad asked if she honestly thought anything on this planet was going to replace Kate? Dixie didn’t, but asked what if he should be a father to this little girl and he missed the chance? She owed him a child, “And if this baby that Krystal is carrying really is yours, I’ll be damned if I let Krystal do to you what I did.” Tad didn’t think this was about Krystal’s baby, but about the way Dixie was handling the fact that Emma wasn’t Kate, and he was starting to worry about her. Maybe some counseling would be in order. Dixie urged him not to dismiss this—Krystal could very well be carrying his child. HEY, BABY, WHAT’S YOUR SIGN? As their official first date started, Annie admitted to Ryan that she hadn’t been on a date in a very long time. Ryan teased her about first date lines, and Annie was surprised and delighted when Ryan produced tickets to a concert by her favorite band. They’d have enough time for a couple of drinks and maybe a quick snack, and then a helicopter would pick them up. JUST GIVE ME ONE NIGHT Kendall came into the Fusion offices with Zach, and told the girls to forget work and bust out with the champagne because they were going to ConFusion to celebrate—they bought a house! Simone congratulated them, but didn’t share the others’ enthusiasm. Kendall asked where Bianca was, and Simone said someone was going to have to rescue her from upstairs, “And it sure as heck is not going to be me.” Bianca pulled back from the kiss, and Zarf urged her to just give him one night to show her what he could offer that no one else could. Bianca told him she was a lesbian, and she was sorry if he was disappointed. Zach insisted he wasn’t disappointed, and that explained it. She was just living up to her name, “Bianca of the White Light.” She was illuminated, much more than she knew. Kendall came to get Bianca, who invited Zarf to join them at ConFusion. Zarf passed, and told Kendall he hoped she found the peace and truth she was looking for. After the others went downstairs to the bar, Zarf came up behind Simone and told her she really was a spectacularly beautiful woman. He urged to come out with him tonight—he’d fill a bathtub with the best bubbly and they’d drink themselves naked! Let him take her to a mountaintop and sing her love songs until dawn. When Simone turned him down, Zarf insisted she’d regret it—he was offering her the opportunity of a lifetime! TOPPING THE FIRST DATE CHARTS At ConFusion, Kendall told Annie and Ryan about the house, and asked them to join in the celebration. Ryan said they weren’t going to be there very long; they had a show to catch. IT JUST CAN’T BE Babe looked at the photo album Josh made for her and sighed she did love him. She was so sorry for all those ugly things she said to him—she didn’t mean them! She was afraid of her feelings for him, afraid she’d give in, and she still was. She was afraid he’d walk out that door, and she’d never feel as safe as she did in his arms, but that was the way it had to be. She wasn’t leaving J.R., and needed Josh to help her forget him. When Josh refused, Babe said she’d forget him because she had to. It just couldn’t be, and she was sorry. Josh kissed her cheek before saying he was sorry, too, and leaving through the tunnels. Babe closed the passageway behind him as she sighed, “Goodbye, Josh.” She grabbed her coat and purse and left the house. YOU ARE MY FAMILY! At the hospital, Adam clashed with Joe about J.R.’s alternative treatment. Krystal arrived, and thought it was good that J.R. had made the decision he did about medication. She and Adam had a scare when she began having contractions; both were relieved when the doctor diagnosed Braxton-Hicks contractions, and Krystal was fine. Adam asked if she’d forgive him for all the things he said to her? He could have lost her, and hated the things he said about her! Krystal sighed she was just as bad—she threatened to take this child away from him! What Babe and J.R. were going through was awful, but she loved him and didn’t ever want to leave him. Adam said he would die if he lost her, and promised he’d never threaten her daughter again. No matter what happened between Babe and J.R., they would stay together. She was his family! When he went to bring the car around, Tad showed up and told Krystal, “Dixie told me what David said about the baby you’re carrying being mine.” WHAT’S THE PROBLEM WITH EMMA? Kendall wasn’t happy about the picture taken with Santa, and told Zach that other kid shouldn’t even be in the picture! Zach asked what the problem was with Emma? Zach had another vision of the woman he’d seen on the terrace, and flashed on the words found on the note, “You murdered her.” When Josh came into the bar, Bianca asked if he was okay? Josh said no, and he didn’t want to talk about it. ANYONE STILL HERE? Babe went to the office and found Simone on the floor, stretched out on her back and looking beautiful with a flower tucked behind her ear. Babe rushed over to find her unconscious; she felt for a pulse as she said Simone’s name, and gasped, “Oh, my God.”

pika- 01-25-2007

Tuesday, December 5, 2006 FEELINGS CAN CHANGE A LOT Seeing Lily at the boathouse, Jonathan said he would leave her alone. Lily surprised him when she said she was thinking about him, and had some things she wanted to say. At first, when he was her boyfriend, and then her husband, she would picture his face and she would smile. But then when she found out he wasn’t different like her, she would picture his face and her chest would hurt, and tears would come to her eyes. But now, she could think about him or see him and stay calm. Feelings really could change, couldn’t they? Jonathan agreed, feelings could change a lot. Lily thanked him, saying she knew Terry would have hurt her very badly, and if he hadn’t stopped him, she wouldn't be able to come here and think or go home by herself or talk to him. Now she understood why he pretended to be like her, because he wanted her to be happy. She thanked him for being her first best friend and her first husband, “If I could make myself feel like that again, I would. But I can't.” Jonathan understood, and said goodbye, adding that he’d never forget her. Lily agreed, “And I'm 99.5% sure I'll never forget you.” ROOM WITH A VIEW At Wildwind, Julia was surprised when Amanda said she couldn’t wait to move in, and told Del she thought he had just said a guest would be spending the holidays with them. Jamie pointed out that Del was trying to earn a dishonest buck, setting Julia up to expect a guest and then planning to charge the guest rent and keep it. Did that about cover it? Agreeing that her room was right next to Del’s, Amanda smacked him—she couldn’t believe what a con artist he was! Di and Aidan came in, and Di told Amanda she obviously didn’t know her brother! Julia remembered how alive the house used to be when it was filled with people; Amanda was elated when Julia said she could move in. After a unanimous vote, Julia said it was settled, she was officially a resident of Wildwind, with all of the rights and privileges thereof. Amanda thanked her, and everyone laughed when she asked, “Wait, do I still have to live in the room next to Del's?” NO MORE BLINDSIDING Krystal insisted that the baby was Adam’s—she thought they’d settled this! Now, were they finished? Tad insisted, “You don’t get to jump down my throat and sashay out of here like Scarlett O’Hara—not till I tell you what I came here to tell you, to tell you what I think about this baby and what I intend to do about it.” He just wanted to say he believed her, that’s all. He would never take Hayward’s or anybody else's word over hers, ever, and she had to let this go. Krystal worried that Dixie could have told David about seeing them together, but Tad believed Dixie when she said she hadn’t. He admitted he was worried about Dixie trying to give him back the daughter he’d lost, and Krystal said if she could take away the ache in his heart she would, but just couldn’t. Tad knew and loved her for it, but his hope of finding Kate died with Greg Madden. As Krystal thanked God it was over and David didn’t win, Adam returned and guessed they knew what was on Hayward’s disc. Tad covered, saying David tried to convince Dixie that he and Krystal were having an affair; Adam agreed he knew that was another of Hayward’s lies. Tad said he was sorry, and promised Krystal there would be no more blindsiding. SHE’S GONE Babe rushed into ConFusion for help; Josh went back with her to see about Simone, but it was too late; Ms. Torres was already dead. The women of Fusion were devastated, and comforted each other. Babe and Kendall were united, for once, in their grief; none of them believed that Simone would have taken her own life. Derek arrived, and was puzzled when Zach said they were celebrating the new house when Simone was killed. Derek questioned why he thought she was killed? Zach called it instinct. HOME, SWEET HOME Jamie suggested to Julia that they live together; she agreed he should move in and welcomed him to his new home, sweet home. Di also suggested that Aidan move in. Julia agreed, any room he wanted. She raised her cup and toasted to group living. MY SECRET SHAME Jonathan overheard Del coming on to Amanda at ConFusion, and gathered that Amanda was moving into Wildwind with him. Amanda agreed she was moving in, but solo. When Jonathan warned her about Del, Amanda reminded him it was her business, not his. For what it was worth, she could handle Del, “He hasn’t a hope in Hell.” THAT’S ALL FOR NOW An officer bagged the flower from Simone’s hair as evidence, and Simone’s body was removed. Derek said they would find out more when he got the CSI report and the autopsy results, which were a priority. Zach wanted to drive all the women home, but Babe wasn’t ready to leave. Bianca asked Babe if she was okay? Babe sighed she just wasn’t ready to leave, not yet. She couldn’t. Josh told Bianca he’d make sure she got home okay. Bianca nodded, and left the roof. Babe told Josh it was okay for him to leave, but he replied, “I can't do that.”

pika- 01-25-2007

Wednesday, December 6, 2006 A LIFE THAT ENDS WAY TOO SOON As they looked at their sleeping children, Kendall sighed it wasn’t fair. They brought these babies into a life that ends way too soon. Rachel was shocked when Zach told her that Simone passed away tonight; Bianca was probably going to sleep here, so if she could look after the kids, he’d appreciate that. Rachel agreed and said she was so sorry! Simone was one of the coolest people she’d ever met. Kendall said this was so wrong—someone that you love so much suddenly just gone. She wondered if Simone knew how important she was to her? “Please, God, let her have known!” Zach assured her she knew. Kendall exclaimed Simone couldn’t be dead! She still had a million things that she wanted to do with her life. How could she just be taken away from them like this? There should be a law against people dying young. Zach again had a vision of the young woman sniffing a flower on the terrace of the new house, and asked why Simone had that ribbon in her hand, and what about the gardenia she had in her hair? He was going to the hospital to find out something; they’d all be better when they found some answers. When Bianca asked when the last time Simone mentioned Ethan was, Kendall said no—she wouldn’t even consider that Simone did this to herself! Where Derek got suicide, she would never know. If Simone was suicidal, she would have known. Bianca asked her sister if maybe she was afraid to consider the possibility that Simone did kill herself because that would mean that she let her down? Kendall admitted she feared she had failed her, but she couldn’t just sit around and do nothing. They had to do something now! ISN’T THAT WHY WE’RE HERE? At ConFusion, the Wildwind roomies toasted to their new arrangements. Erin started to tell Jonathan about Simone, but broke off when Annie and Ryan returned and started telling the group about their incredible evening in New York. Annie said tonight was one of the best nights ever. She felt like she was finally coming back to life! Ryan thought that’s why they were put on this Earth, to have fun and to make the most out of the time they had, “Isn't that why we're here?” As they all toasted to friends, to family, to life, Erin lost it; she dropped the glass she was holding and burst into tears before telling her brothers, “She's dead.” IT’S NOT RIGHT On the roof at Fusion, Josh insisted there was no way he was leaving her there alone. He urged Babe to let him take care of her, just do this one last thing for her. Babe insisted it wasn’t right, she had to let him go, but agreed to let him walk her to her car. I JUST WANT TO FIND SOME ANSWERS Zach went to the morgue looking for answers about Simone’s death; Derek asked, “And what’s it to you?” Zach knew he had a problem with him because he thought he got away with something, and asked him to let it go for the sake of his son, for the sake of that beautiful girl in there. Simone was engaged to his son; he owed it to Ethan to make sure they were buried together. He asked for a favor, for Derek to tell him what happened. Derek was sticking with his first theory, suicide. It was too soon to make any calls, so they’d wait and see what the tox screen said. He’d have that first thing in the morning. HOW DO YOU LOSE A MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY AND STILL GO ON? Josh found Dani at the boathouse, and they spoke of the love and respect she had for Simone, “How do you lose a member of your family and still go on?” Josh guessed you look to the other members of the family to get you through it—Babe and Erin, Kendall and Bianca. If she was missing a sister, he’d share one of his, “Actually, you can have both of my sisters.” Dani agreed she’d remember what he said about Kendall and Bianca. She’d be asking them for help to get through this, that's for sure. Josh told her not to forget about Babe, and Dani laughed, “Now you're pushing it!” Josh insisted if she gave her a chance, Babe could be a good friend. IT JUST DOESN’T FIT Babe went to tell J.R. about Simone’s death, saying nothing felt real until she said it to him. J.R. remained impassive as she spoke of her love for him, and how she couldn’t imagine a life without him in it. If he had died, her world would have been over; she was just hoping that someday he could let her back into his world again. J.R. was sorry about her friend, but he really needed to get some sleep. He watched as Babe silently left, a sadness in his eyes. I JUST THOUGHT THE BAD TIMES WERE FINALLY OVER Everyone gathered around as Ryan brought Erin some coffee, and she told them how the day had started with Zarf naked in the office, and ended with Simone’s death. She couldn’t be gone! Aidan asked what happened? Were they looking into how Simone died? Di told him not every death was a big mystery to solve, and Jonathan asked Erin if she knew what happened? Erin said not yet. She broke down again and said she was sorry, this had really blown her away! Ryan agreed, of course it had, and Jamie thought he’d better go call his dad. Erin cried that she just thought the bad times were finally over, “I guess they never really are.” Josh came into the club, where the mood was somber. Ryan raised a glass, “To Simone.” Jonathan, Amanda and Annie clinked glasses with him; Josh touched a glass on the bar, the night’s special, tied with a white ribbon. Dani comes into the office and looked around sadly. Erin came in, and they embraced as they cried for their friend. Babe stepped off the elevator; she hesitated as she saw them, but Erin smiled and held out a hand to her. Babe tearfully went to them, and was included in their embrace. Bianca and Kendall came in, and they joined the others. Kendall held out a hand to Babe; Babe took it, and they all held each other. After leaving with Derek, Zach returned to the morgue. He put two chairs together in the hallway; putting his feet up on one, he settled in to wait for the news the morning would bring.

Thursday, December 7, 2006 SAY IT! As Adam packed his things to take him home, J.R. asked if Babe had moved out? He wasn’t coming home today until he knew that bitch was out from under their roof. Was she still there? Say it—say that Babe’s been kicked to the curb! Adam called it complicated, and J.R. thought Krystal got to him, played the pregnancy card—get Babe out! Julia came in and tried to calm J.R., saying he’d never learn. He gets angry, and pain will follow. She’d feel sorry for him, but he brought this pain on himself. Later, she told Adam that acupuncture could only do so much. J.R. was filled with anger, and that's something needles couldn’t cure. When Adam agrees he’d do anything he could for his son, Julia said that’s what she thought. She was going to be riding with J.R. in the ambulance; they’d see him there. TO SIMONE As they all sat on the floor of the office hoping it was all a mistake and Simone would walk in the door any moment, Kendall stood and said she’d be right back. They’d had enough tears, and it was time to behave the way Simone would have wanted them to behave. She returned with five Cajun Bloody Marys, and told the others this was Simone’s remedy for the morning after a rough night, and she thinks they’ve all had a pretty rough night. They all raised a glass in toast to their friend, “To Simone.” As the reminisced about good times, Zarf arrived. Sensing their auras were muddy, he asked who died? Told it was Simone, Zarf agreed that was what he saw. Babe wanted to reschedule their meeting, but Zarf shrugged off their grief, saying Simone’s destiny has been fulfilled, end of story. When he said it was all predestined, Kendall declared, “Okay, get this yahoo out of here before I predestine him myself!” Bianca suggested to Zarf that they continue this conversation elsewhere, maybe on the roof? They left, and Dani wondered if the should close the office today? Kendall said no, they’d to work on the campaign; that’s exactly what Simone would have done, and offered a bonus to anyone who could get rid of that nut job rock star. Bianca convinced her not to kill the campaign by losing his song; Dani and Erin agreed they owed it to Simone to finish her last campaign. Kendall warned Babe that she brought that aura-loving freak in here, so she could deal with him from now on. BEFORE YOU GO, CHECK IT OUT Sean told Colby he was ditching this town for good—did she want to come? He felt responsible for Jack and Erica’s problems, but Colby urged him to check it out, make sure he wasn’t running away for something he didn't do. TELL ME ABOUT HER Tad arrived at the morgue, where Zach had waited all night. He pro-*test*-('")ed this was so wrong—Simone had everything to live for! Zach told him he didn’t really know her, and Tad thought he missed out. When Zach said his son loved her, Tad agreed Ethan was a lucky man. “Tell me about her,” Zach asked. Tad didn’t know where to start. She was beautiful, inside as well as out, always so much fun to be around, for everybody. There was just something about her. Zach noted he knew her pretty well; Tad agreed, they were together for a while at least a couple of years before Ethan, no disrespect intended. Zach asked if had anything against her? Tad asked what the hell he was thinking, that somebody killed her? Zach brought up the fact that it was the anniversary of his son’s death, but the men agreed they didn’t buy the suicide theory. When a doctor came out and said he couldn’t give them any information, Zach was very persuasive. EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES Krystal confronted Dixie about telling Tad what David had said. Dixie was overjoyed that Tad knew the truth, but Krystal insisted she was carrying Adam’s baby and said Tad didn’t believe David’s lies. Dixie was just worried about Tad, and wouldn’t stand by and watch while Tad had to miss out on being the father to a child that should be with him. Krystal sighed that Tad already was a father, and Tad didn’t need her child. Dixie blamed herself for Tad’s pain, but Krystal urged her to let the guilt go. She really wished she’d drop this, just concentrate on J.R.’s recovery. Dixie agreed she got it; she got exactly what she was saying. THE LAST STAND Jack went to Erica’s office and said he’s spoken with Livia. Erica insisted she didn’t say she wanted a divorce, but guessed this was the last stand before they called in the lawyers. When neither of them would admit the current situation was their fault, Erica guessed this was the last stand before calling in the attorneys. Later, Sean showed up at Erica’s office to talk to her. GET HER OUT OF HERE, NOW! J.R. was wheeled carefully into the house, and was furious that Babe was still there, “Get her out of here now.” I’LL NEVER FORGET YOU Tad remembered a morning years before, waking up to find a can of whipped cream in his bed. He’d turned and looked at Simone, still asleep beside him, and grinned as he squirted a glob in her mouth; he’d laughed at her reaction before they kissed the whipped cream away. Back to the present, he smiled at the memory. An attendant wheeled Simone’s body out of the morgue; Tad said he was family and asked for a minute. The man nodded and moved away to allow privacy. Tad pulled back the sheet to expose Simone’s face; he stroked her hair as he told her, “Good-bye, sweetheart. God only knows how much I'll miss you. Truth is I miss you already.” He was sorry she never found the happiness she truly deserved, because all she ever did was make all the rest of them feel happy, especially him. She made me smile, laugh and feel loved all over again. He thanked her helping him find his way out of the darkness. Now it was her turn. “Ethan's waiting for you. Find him. Find him and be happy. And if you ever manage to look in on the rest of us, you send me a little of that laughter, okay? You'll always make me smile. I'll never forget you.” I KNOW WHAT KILLED HER Zach came in and told Kendall, “I know what killed her.”

Friday, December 8, 2006 NOBODY SHOULD HAVE TO LIVE OR DIE THAT WAY J.R. insisted he wanted Babe gone—he thought they finally understood each other! Adam understood, but thought it would be best for the family. J.R. asked what about what was best for him? When he became agitated and cried out in pain, Julia said there was no way this patient could recover there and ordered him taken back to PVH. J.R. refused to go, and continued to complain as he was taken to the room set up for him in the study. Once settled, he tried to give Julia a hard time, but Jamie wouldn’t put up with it. When Julia spoke about relieving some of his pain, J.R. insisted she could only take away the pain by getting Babe Carey out of his house. Julia reminded him that an amazing, generous, funny woman just died last night. And here he was, still breathing, so shut up and be grateful! After she and Jamie left, Adam came in, but J.R. sullenly told him to get out. “Like hell I will,” Adam declared, and insisted the problem was that J.R. still loved Babe. J.R. reminded him of what he taught him, “Never forgive, never forget, no exceptions.” He grumbled he was such an idiot to sign custody over to Babe, and was pleased to hear Adam had gained temporary custody—now they could get rid of her! When Adam insisted she loved him and wanted to fight for their marriage, J.R. questioned if Krystal hijacked his brains and his stones? If Krystal cheated on him, would he let her stay? Dixie asked to talk to Babe alone, and Babe was surprised when she said J.R. had had it too easy. When things got difficult, he turned to drugs, alcohol. He took a steamer around the world rather than face his problems! He hurt himself and a lot of people who care about him, but this time he couldn’t run. Now, maybe he would finally learn what it was to stay and fight. Dixie noted any other woman would have given up on her son a long time ago. She was really sorry about her friend Simone and that she died all by herself, “Nobody should have to die that way, and nobody should have to live that way, either.” She pressed Babe for her motive for staying; if she was there for any reason other than love, she should just leave. When Colby came downstairs with Babe’s things packed, Krystal reminded her that they had talked, and she told her she wasn’t to blame for J.R.’s accident, but Babe wasn’t, either. J.R. did this to himself, and now he needed to heal. He didn’t need them fussing and pecking at each other. This was the part where they get over it, they pull together and they work it out, “Do you understand?” A CLUB DRUG FOR PARTY ANIMALS? Everyone was stunned to hear that Simone died of a drug overdose; it was a V-Tach , a drug used by vets, but had found a new audience as a party drug. The women insisted the coroner was wrong! Ryan thought maybe she took it accidentally; Zach said or maybe somebody gave it to her on purpose. IT WASN’T ALWAYS HAPPYVILLE When Sean kissed her, Erica asked if he’d lost his mind? Sean told her that was goodbye; he was leaving town because of the guilt he felt about her broken marriage. His dad had loved her and lost her because of him, and didn’t want that to happen to his Uncle Jack. Erica insisted he wasn’t the cause of her problems with Jack, and Sean wondered if it was the other guy, then. As if on cue, Jeff arrived with a surprise lunch for Erica. Sean gave Jeff a veiled warning about taking something that didn’t belong to him. After he left, Jeff guessed Sean was just looking after his uncle, and didn’t want to see Jack lose the best thing that ever happened to him. Erica told him she and Jack were getting a divorce. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Aidan and Jonathan apologized to each other for their animosity when it appeared that Emma was really Kate, and agreed to get their friendship back where it had been. Erin came into ConFusion and asked for their help in finding out who was responsible for Simone’s death. Erin and Aidan spoke about love and loss; as they shared a hug, Di came in. NICE FRIEND YOU MADE ON THE ROOF As Zach puzzled over who could have given Simone the drug, Zarf returned and apologized for pushing his beliefs on the women earlier. When Zach asked what he knew about Simone’s death, Zarf most regretted that Simone turned down his proposition, or she might still be alive. Kendall told him that Fusion wasn’t his personal harem, and demanded he leave; she was upset when Zarf said she’d been lying to Ryan. Zach, Ryan and Bianca all insisted Kendall take some time off for lunch with Spike. Kendall told her sister that was some nice friend she made on the roof, but he was a total freak; she didn’t like him or trust him. Bianca called him different, but she was pretty sure he was harmless. Ryan told Zach he was going to check out any and all deliveries that were made to Fusion or ConFusion. Zach was going to deal with the rock star. He made a call and ordered someone to check out a guy called Zarf, “And don't just open a magazine, either.” NOW IS ALL THAT MATTERS Colby softened when Krystal said she knew she had it in her to be kind and decent and loving. She apologized, but Krystal didn’t think she was the one who needed to hear it. Babe was moved when Colby apologized and promised to make a real effort so things could be cool between them. As Adam admitted he wouldn’t be able to forgive Krystal if she cheated on him, Dixie came in and urged J.R. to let Babe stay; Little Adam needed both of his parents. If he could let her back into his life, who knew what amazing things his heart was capable of? Krystal thanked Adam for sticking up for Babe, understanding it wasn’t exactly a natural fit. Adam declared they were going to keep this family together if they had to go through Armageddon to get there! Krystal asked, “You and I – we’re okay, aren't we? You'll tell me if we're not?” Adam held her and agreed they were just fine. Babe went to J.R.’s room and told him she wasn’t leaving.

Monday, December 11, 2006 SHE’S WITH HIM NOW Zach brought Kendall home and ran a bath for her. Kendall heard him on the phone giving orders to find out information on Zarf, and asked if he thought Zarf murdered Simone? He knew something and wasn’t telling her because he didn’t want to scare her! Zach insisted he was just checking out everyone who’d been in and out of Fusion. He just wanted to eliminate all possibilities so they could sleep at night. Kendall understood that Simone’s death brought back Ethan’s to him, and said Simone loved Ethan so much. Bianca thought maybe Simone missed Ethan so much that she hated the thought of being without him, “Well, she's with him now.” As Kendall soaked in the bath, the tears came. Zach rubbed her shoulders and held her as she cried. Later, they made love before trying to sleep. Zach dreamed of the woman from the terrace, who smiled, “I love you, you know, even more than I love the scent of these gardenias. You love them, too, don't you?” He smiled in his sleep, and woke up slowly. Kendall saw his smile, and asked what he was dreaming? It must have been good! GOING, GOING In ConFusion, Zarf delighted fans when he signed autographs. Di came in as Aidan and Erin shared a hug, and Erin was quick to reassure her friend it wasn’t what it. Di told her she so sorry about Simone, and Erin apologized for being so weird when she came up to her. Aidan excused himself to go say hello to their visiting celebrity. Di told Erin that she and Aidan weren’t serious, so if they had old business to take care of. Erin wondered if she was offering Aidan to her? She would just step aside? Di told her she didn’t want to stand in the way of true love, “So if you and Aidan can get that going, I'm gone.” Aidan went up to Zarf and noted, “Wow. You have come a long way, Freddie, my man.” Zarf asked if he was talking to him? Aidan wondered if there’s another Freddie Luper? “I mean, that is your real name, right? Freddie Luper, from Elkhart, Indiana?” Zarf told him that person didn’t exist, “He's dead.” Aidan questioned his beliefs suggested by his song lyrics, but Zarf asked about Erin and Di, “Which one are you having and which one's mine?” Di gave Erin one more chance, “Going, going…” Erin knew she said it wasn’t serious, but she wanted it to be. Di admitted it, but if she told anyone else, she’d tell the whole world that she was a liar! Aidan came back and grinned, “The Prince of Rock and I would like to buy you ladies a drink. Would you care to join us?” Di told him not to look now, but there wasn’t an "us"; Zarf was gone. As Erin headed out to prepare for Simone’s memorial out, she was startled when Zarf stopped her and said she took things too much to heart. He noted she’d had more misery and darkness in her lifetime to last several lifetimes, “Don't you yearn for a home that's only light, no more pain?” Erin asked, “Don't we all?” Di told Aidan she’d learned they had to live every moment like it could be their last. THANK YOU FOR BEING MY WIFE When Erica said she and Jack were over, Jeff noted she knew he’d been waiting to hear that, but she seemed surprised. Erica admitted she was stunned. She gave Jack every opportunity to apologize, but he turned his back on her! Jeff said she’d never allowed any man to dictate to her, “The hell with what Jack wants! What do you want?” Erica ranted about Jack being threatened by him, and Jeff said Jack had picked up on something between them. He’d told her how he felt about her, and they had kissed. Erica pro-*test*-('")ed that a kiss was just a gentle, sweet, innocent gesture, but Jeff noted that wasn’t his intent. Jeff thought if he knew her back then the way he knew her now, they might still be married. Erica told him not to be silly—he needed a classic doctor's wife, a perfect, self-sacrificing, home-entertaining, meal-preparing little woman! She was concerned when Jeff took ill, and more so when he admitted he was treating himself for malaria. As Erica looked after him and said he belonged in a hospital, she was taken aback when Jeff told her they couldn’t spend their honeymoon in a hospital, “Thank you for being my wife.” IT NEVER HAPPENS At the gym, Amanda found Josh pummeling a punching bag, and guessed it was a J.R. substitute. Josh sighed as far as Babe was concerned, it was over. He was looking at a lifetime without her and just didn’t want to get over her. Amanda told him not to worry, he wouldn’t, “That crud that people tell you about getting over someone you really love? It's fiction—it never happens.” She suggested he fall in love again, fast—it was the only cure she could think of. Josh sighed he couldn’t see Babe without wanting to be with her, and every time he saw her with J.R., he just couldn’t stand it. Saying he had to get out of there, he left. CAN’T WE AT LEAST TRY? Having J.R. as a captive audience, Babe implored him to give their marriage another chance, if not for her, for the sake of Little Adam and their family. She loved him and needed him, and wasn’t going anywhere until he got it through that fat head of his! She knew he has a lot to think about, so she’d go, but would come back whenever he said, “I'm hoping that it won't be long if you're willing to give it a try. Are you?” IS SOMEBODY THERE? Erin went upstairs to Fusion to get her things. As she put her coat on in the darkened office, she heard a noise and called out, “Hello? Is somebody there?” Josh went to Fusion’s roof; he picked a flower and smelled it before throwing it in frustration. He saw a woman’s arm resting on a small table beside a lounge chair and asked, “Babe?” He touched the arm, which dropped limply. He walked around to the front of the chair, and was stunned to find Erin dead, her eyes wide open, with a gardenia in her hand and a satin ribbon in her hair.
