Wednesday, March 7, 2007 IF ANYONE STANDS A CHANCE After Ryan’s shocking proposal, Annie asked what happened in Vegas? Ryan said he was fine, he was home, and he knew what he wanted, for her to marry him. He was on the plane back and it hit him. He wasn't coming back to Pine Valley, he was coming back to her. The only future he wanted was one with her and with Emma. When Jonathan came out and said to come join the party, Ryan picked Annie up in his arms and told his brother to cover for them before whisking her away. After driving out into the middle of nowhere, just the two of them in the middle of the stars, Annie reminded him they had agreed to just be friends. Emma had to come first, and she’d be hurt if they broke up. Ryan insisted it wouldn’t happen, because he was going to build them a life and a family for the rest of their lives. He didn’t want to waste time; he wanted to live the life he wanted right now, and that life was with her and Emma. Tell him if he didn’t have a chance. Ryan kissed her when Annie told him, “Well, if anyone stands a chance, it's you.” ON THE WAY TO SAVING HIS Erica was upset that Zach had dropped Kendall at home and then vanished—Ryan would never do that! Kendall told her that Zach needed to do this, “He has to get the blood off his hands.” He needed to come to terms with what his father had done, and to understand that he wasn’t to blame for it. She credited Zach with saving her life, and admitted she’d been terrified, but she thought of what her mother had taught her about facing danger; that had given her the courage to fight back, and that’s what got her through. That’s how she survived. She told Erica she would like for her to accept Zach, accept that she loved him, and understand that he wasn’t to blame for what his father did. Hadn’t their own history proven that the sins of the father were not the sins of the child? She had gotten past it because she and Binks loved her for who she was, separate from her father. Erica smiled as she said she knew, “It’s how my mom loved me.” Kendall told her Zach needed that right now, and she was going to give it to him. As they toasted to her safe return with sparkling cider, Kendall raised her glass, “And to Zach, who saved my life, and hopefully will be on the way to saving his.” THE MAN-BRAND REMAINS THE SAME Zoe sighed as she knelt by Babe’s grave and patted the fresh soil. She was startled by a sound, and turned to find Zach standing there. When Zach said he owed her an apology for treating her badly, Zoe offered an apology of her own for being so flip when the murders happened just to cover her own drama. It was shameful and ugly—amazing what fear would make us do! Zach knelt by Dixie’s grave for a moment; he started to leave but stopped when Zoe declared, “You hate who you are.” She did understand. She hated herself, too, for years…something she was still struggling with. Zach sighed, “I didn't want to be my father's son. So I became someone else.” Zoe nodded, he tried. He made all of the external adjustments, a new name, new life, just as she did, “But you can never kill who you really are.” Zach realized his father had branded him, “He made me who he is. What do I do with that?” Zoe knew he’d have to find that answer for himself. She still had her brand, her man-brand, and she still didn’t know what to do with that. Zach pointed out there were medical things she could do, and wished there was a procedure to get his dad out of his head, his blood and his DNA, “The man-brand remains the same, just as these women remain in their graves.” Zoe sighed, “You're not going to give up the guilt, are you?” As Zach told Dixie he was so sorry, Zoe hugged his shoulders in comfort. WHO KNEW? J.R. overheard Krystal tell Little A she was taking him to see his mommy; he was upset when Krystal covered by saying she was taking him to the cemetery to visit Babe, insisting he should be the one to tell his son. He knew he had to tell Little Adam about his mommy, and would do so that night. Adam and J.R. were both surprised when Krystal said no, he couldn’t. She took Little Adam upstairs, ostensibly to bed, but actually planned to sneak him out of the mansion. Alone with Adam, J.R. wondered how to start telling his son that his mother and grandmother were dead when he couldn’t make any sense out of it himself. He wanted to be a good father, support his son as Adam had supported him, and raise him the way Babe would have wanted him raised. Adam wanted to raise Charlotte without making the same mistakes he had with his other children; he suggested they could help each other and asked who knew the Carey women would have inspired the Chandlers to be better men?” LET ME HELP YOU GET IT Babe was resistant to Josh’s idea of staying dead, taking her son and leaving Pine Valley for a place where J.R. would never find them. When Josh suggested Krystal could explain Little Adam’s disappearance by saying she’d been carjacked and her grandson kidnapped, Babe pro-*test*-('")ed that was too cruel—she had run away with Little A once, letting J.R. think he was dead, and couldn’t do it to him again. Josh just wanted Babe to have the safe and happy life she deserved, and asked her to let him help her get it. Krystal arrived with Little Adam, and wanted to know what Josh was getting her daughter into? Babe filled her in; Krystal vowed to stand by her, no matter what she decided. Babe kissed Little Adam goodbye and promised she’d be home with him soon, but she needed his help with something. Nobody could know he saw her; it had to be their little secret. After Krystal took him home, Babe said she needed to be alone to think. Josh nodded, and touched her hand before leaving the room. IT’S A SECRET Back home, Krystal kissed Little Adam and wished him sweet dreams. J.R. came to tuck his son in, and said he’d talk to him about his mommy in the morning. He was taken aback when Little Adam told him, “I saw Mommy—it’s a secret.”

Thursday, March 8, 2007 BETTER TO WAIT AND DO IT RIGHT J.R. told Krystal that Little Adam wasn't very good at keeping secrets. He saw his mother last night, "Why don't you take me to see his mother, too?" Where had she taken his son? Krystal asked if he really thought she'd take her 3-year-old grandson on a late-night field trip to the cemetery? Little A hadn't been able to sleep, so she decided to take him on a car ride. J.R. apologized, and Krystal said maybe Little A had a dream about his mama. J.R. sighed that he needed to figure out a way to tell him somehow. Krystal suggested he give it time; it was better to wait and do it right. She breathed a sigh of relief when he left for a meeting. HOW ABOUT YOU? Erica went to the station house to thank Jack for his part in helping to save Kendall, but asked what about this mess he'd created with Josh? The killer had been caught, but Babe was still playing dead-people deserved to know she was alive! Jack thought Babe just wanted to take a little time to decide what to do with her life, and wondered when their meddling ever did anyone any good? He reminded her of the promise they made to each other, that they weren't going to interfere in their children's lives; it was the foundation of their marriage. He had made a mistake by interfering with Lily and Jonathan, but had been trying to do everything he could to uphold this promise. He had been honoring the terms of their marriage, "How about you?" When Erica accused him of hurting Josh as some kind of payback for her and Jeff, Jack said he reserved his payback for things he was more passionate about, like putting psychotic killers behind bars. Erica wondered if nut cases made him feel passionate these days? "Do give Barbara my regards." EVEN BEFORE I REALIZED IT Zoe hesitated at the doctor's door, wondering if it was possible to dream for something and to dread it at the same time? She thanked Bianca for coming with her, and insisted it was time, "I wanted this my whole life, even before I realized it." She admitted what scared her the most was that she would go through all of this and still be lost. Bianca took her hand and said she could take all the time she needed to figure out what comes next. Zoe was taken aback when J.R. came up and apologized for the way he treated her. Erica arrived to speak with Bianca. The doctor was ready to see Zoe, so Bianca told her mother it would have to wait. Bianca taped the conversation as Dr. Massey detailed the risks involved in this treatment; she was disturbed to hear about the risks, some possibly fatal. When the doctor left to take a call, Bianca insisted Zoe didn't have to go through with it, but if she did, she'd be with her all the way. Zoe was upset when she said she wanted to start the hormone treatments immediately, and the doctor told her they had to follow protocol, including a psychiatric evaluation. Zoe agreed they'd do it her way. Dr. Massey said in the meantime, there were some transgender folk she wanted her to talk to; there was a group meeting in just a little while. When Bianca and Zoe looked at her in surprise, Dr. Massey told them not all transgender people were in the cities, "Some are right here in this very hospital." YOU DESERVE A WONDERFUL LIFE Kendall told Zach she'd had a bit of experience with fathers/monsters. There's life past this, and she promised to help him find it. As they shared a kiss, Myrtle comes in and wondered if she got to say "I told you so"? After Kendall left, Myrtle tried to convince Zach that he could get rid of his father by loving and forgiving himself, and being happy. WHEN I KNOW, YOU'LL KNOW As Babe weighed her options, Kendall arrived; the two survivors embraced. Kendall was supportive of Josh's plan for Babe and her son, and hopefully himself. She didn't want to see them leave, but whatever they decided, do it quickly. When Josh told them Dani was staying in Hawaii to go to school, Babe couldn't blame her for not wanting to come back . When Kendall stood to go, she appeared dizzy; Babe suggested she might be pregnant. Kendall changed the subject, admitting she'd actually miss her at Fusion if she left. Babe agreed she'd miss her, too. Kendall really hoped this wasn't the last time she saw her; Babe replied, "When I know, you'll know." WHERE THE BOTTOM IS Erica and J.R. attended the same A.A. meeting. J.R. spoke, saying he'd lost his wife, and that was where the bottom was. He quoted the 8th step of the program, making amends, but wondered how you make amends if the person that you needed to make amends to the most was dead? Erica believed him to be sincere, but asked if he blamed Josh? J.R. said he had to take responsibility, and was doing his damnedest not to make his problems about Josh. IT HAS TO COST YOU AS MUCH AS IT HAS COST ME At the station, Zach recalled Alexander saying if he was to learn his lesson, it had to cost Zach as much as it had cost him. As he signed his statement, Alexander was brought in, wearing an orange prison jumpsuit; Zach found himself face to face with his father again. WHAT DO WE DO? Amanda came to see Krystal, and cried about how much she missed her friend. Krystal thanked her for loving Babe; it really helped to know how people felt about her. Later J.R. came in and asked Krystal, "Can I be your son?" MAMA'S MAGIC WAND Kendall returned to the condo and took a home pregnancy -*test*-('"). Telling Spike it was his mama's magic wand, she stared at the stick as the results became visible. THIS SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME As they reached the door of the meeting room, Zoe said this seemed like a good idea at the time. She took a deep breath, and bravely went inside. OUTLOOK NOT SO GOOD When Babe wondered how she'd know what was best, Josh produced a Magic 8 Ball he'd found. Babe asked it if she stayed, would she keep her son? The reply came up, "Outlook not so good". Erica listened at the door as Josh said they'd disappear quickly, "No one will ever find us again."

Friday, March 9, 2007 FOREVER IS A MIGHTY LONG TIME Josh warns Babe that if they are going to snatch Little Adam and go on the run that they should act sooner rather than later before news of her being alive leaks out. Meanwhile, JR offers Krystal an olive branch as he asks her to help him fight his Chandler instincts where his son is concerned. JR assures Krystal that keeping the secret about her baby will bond them forever. Krystal is encouraged by the changes she sees in JR. Babe's feelings grow more conflicted when Krystal tells her about JR's new attitude. Krystal senses that Babe doesn't want to run away but Babe convinces her mother otherwise. Babe privately feels that her running away would give Krystal the best shot at not having her secret exposed. JR uses Little Adam to reach out to Tad. An eavesdropping Erica learns Josh and Babe are planning on disappearing forever. Bianca strongly advises Erica not to meddle in Josh's life. Erica drops a bombshell on Tad and JR. Kendall is thrilled to learn she's pregnant and shares the happy news with her sister. Kendall thinks this baby will help Zach bury the past once and for all. Zach stands up to his father, claiming Alexander no longer has any hold over him. Alexander appears to have another trick up his sleeve. Zoe attends a transgender support group and gains greater insight into the journey that lies before her from people who are on the same path.

pika- 03-23-2007

Monday, March 12, 2007 ALL I WANT IS A REAL DEATH CERTIFICATE “I don’t believe him!” Zach exclaimed. Kendall looked at the document and read, “Transfer of properties and any and all interests therein"? His father was giving him Cambias Industries? Zach said no, the only thing he wanted from him was a real death certificate, that's all. He hurried out; Kendall told Rachel they’d be back as soon as they could. A STARTLING CONCEPT Ryan told Alexander that since his death was obviously fake, his will was meaningless, “I don't own any of Cambias. It belongs to you.” Alexander agreed that was true, it did. Ryan went on that he would have to find somebody else to take it over—he wouldn’t work for the man who killed his sister! As Alexander assured him he had already named a successor, Zach and Kendall came in; Zach told his father to take his company to Hell with him! Alexander said he claimed to love Kendall, but if he rejected his offer, it would wipe her out. Zach lunged at him—he’d kill him if he ever threatened his wife again! Alexander told them if Zach wouldn’t assume the leadership of Cambias Industries, he would sell every bit of Cambias Industries, liquidate every asset, to endow the Michael Cambias Foundation, a foundation devoted to releasing vicious criminals back on to the street, “A startling concept whose time has come.” He said it was up to Zach to decide what legacy to leave his son, Michael’s or one of his own making, Saying there was a special place in Hell for him, Zach stormed out. Ryan told Alexander that old man was very sick, dangerous and crazy, “But compared to you, Alex, he was an amateur.” He and Zach survived, “So whatever he decides, you're still going to be that twisted psychopath, Alex. Only now, you're going to be the one that's slowly dying in a cage.” THIS IS YOUR LIFE Josh asked Babe if she was sure? This was her life. Babe agreed it wasn’t her first choice, but they didn’t have time to come up with a Plan C. Josh knew she was giving up her mother, her friends, her work, but swore wherever they ended up, he’d help her build something just as good. BABE IS ALIVE! When Erica said Babe was alive, J.R. and Tad thought it was some sick joke; Erica convinced them that Babe was very much alive and hidden out in the subbasement of the casino. She tried to extract J.R.’s promise not to blame Josh, but he hurried out. Tad wanted to know what Josh and Babe were up to; Erica said he’d have to ask Babe and left. When Tad saw Krystal with Little A, he told her if she was planning on going to see Babe, she’d better put it on hold. Krystal was aghast that J.R. learned Babe was alive and exclaimed they had to stop him! She started out, but Tad blocked her way and asked when she was planning on telling the rest of them that Babe was alive? Adam came through the door and repeated, “That Babe is what?” Tad glared at Krystal as he guessed in the meantime, they should all try to remember that this was good news. Adam told Krystal she lied and lied—so much for their pact of honesty! Krystal insisted she had only been protecting her daughter, and feared what J.R. would have done if he’d known. She never wanted to keep anything from him, ever. Adam insisted J.R. was a changed man, and he and Babe could get back together; J.R. would prove it to her. Krystal prayed that he did. WHAT WE THINK WE WANT NOW When Di and Julia questioned Annie about her hesitation to accept Ryan’s proposal, Annie insisted she didn’t know if she and Ryan were right together; sometimes what we think we want now, we don't want one or two or 10 years down the line. She didn’t want Ryan to have any regrets, “Will Ryan wake up one morning and realize he misses the kind of woman who makes him crazy?” DAMN YOU! Erica showed up as Josh was paying for Babe’s new passport, insisting he had to put an end to his plan now. Josh asked if she realized what J.R. would do if he found out Babe was alive? Erica said J.R. would be thrilled. She knew he didn’t want her with J.R., but it is what Babe chose at the end every single time. Josh exclaimed she had no idea what she was talking about, “Before she died, he was blackmailing her, all right?” Realizing Erica had told J.R., Josh cursed her and rushed out. When Tad came to check on J.R. and Babe, Erica told him she knew J.R. was blackmailing Babe, “I need to know what he had on her.” ONE REASON Back at the condo, Kendall said she totally got why he didn’t want to run Cambias, but there was one reason why he might want to consider, their baby, “I’m pregnant.” SOME GOOD NEWS AND SOME BAD NEWS Ryan went to Wildwind and told Annie they were unemployed; her attitude was so positive that he laughed, “You make me crazy.” Annie called that the most romantic thing he’d ever said to her! Ryan asked if she had any other secret catch phrases that he could use on her. “Depends on what you're after,” she replied. Ryan wanted a "yes" to her proposal. THE MIRACLE I PRAYED FOR J.R. burst into the mock hospital room and saw Babe, “It's true. You're alive.” Tears rolled down his cheeks and said he didn’t deserve it but somehow she was alive, “The miracle I prayed for is right here.” Babe reminded him that he hated her and wanted her dead! J.R. insisted he could make up for that the many times he’d hurt her. Please just give him another chance to prove it to her! He’d do anything, be anything, give her anything… Babe replied, “I want a divorce.” As J.R. looked at her in stunned silence, Babe said she was serious. She was so done with this marriage! J.R. insisted he wouldn’t ruin Krystal’s life or his father’s. They deserved their happiness, especially Krystal. She helped him deal with losing her, and he needed that. He reminded her that she had asked him for another chance, suggesting they just take it one step at a time, see what happened. Now he was asking her to at least think about giving him another chance. Josh came in as J.R. said he missed her, “I thought that you were dead.”

pika- 03-23-2007

Tuesday, March 13, 2007 TELL ME YOU WANT THIS Kendall told Zach she was pregnant—they made a baby! She knew this was a lot to wrap his head around now. All their focus had been on killing and murders and death, and that’s why this happened now. Their baby was a perfect reason to move ahead and change their focus. It was okay to want this, to be happy. This baby would mark a whole new chapter in their lives. When Zach couldn’t show any enthusiasm, she said she knew his biggest regret was not raising Ethan; Zach lamented the loss of Ethan, his mom, and almost her. Kendall told him she was still there, and she was carrying their child. They’d been given a reason to believe in the future—tell her he wanted this! Zach kissed her and agreed he wanted their baby, but now he knew he couldn’t take Cambias. Kendall thought their baby was even more reason that he should take over the company. This was the way for him to get even with his father, by making it his own, changing it so Alexander didn’t even recognize it. Zach said he needed some time. Kendall nodded, and he kissed her. WHAT ABOUT LOVE? When pressed to say yes to his marriage proposal, Annie told Ryan he hadn’t said anything about love—what about love? Ryan claimed he didn’t want her to be forced into telling him she loved him when she didn’t. Annie agreed she didn’t. Ryan was okay with that, for a lot of reasons. They fun together, they worked well together, and made each other laugh—the tack room at the stables was evidence of that! They worked well together, made each other laugh and were perfect roommates—they just fit! He loved to be around her, and wanted to be around her all the time. After he left, Jonathan asked Annie why she didn’t say yes already? Everyone but Ryan knew that she loved him! Annie insisted she couldn’t because he didn’t love her. Jonathan shrugged that was just how Ryan did it, “He weds first and he loves later.” It’s not a big thing! Ryan finally got a clue. He knew he wanted to be with her, and he was happy for both of them. Telling her to get a clue, he left. LIFE IS TOO DAMN SHORT When Erica told him she wanted to know what J.R. had on Babe, Tad refused to help her. As much as he wanted J.R. to be happy, he wanted the same thing for Josh and Babe. All he knew was that life was too damn short to try to rob anybody of a shot at happiness. NEITHER OF YOU HAS ME Josh was surprised when J.R. thanked him for saving Babe, and ignored J.R.’s outstretched hand. J.R. asked how he could not be grateful? He had his wife back, and it was because of him. Josh asked, “Is that how it is, Babe? Does J.R. have you back?” Babe told him J.R. didn’t have her back, “Neither of you has me, and I plan to keep it that way.” Tad came in and told Babe she was the answer to a prayer. After he left, Babe told Josh she needed some time with J.R. Alone with him, Babe asked if that was all just an act to set her up again? J.R. insisted he was sincere, and he understood it was his turn to convince her that they were worth fighting for. He would do anything to make her love him again. I BELIEVE IN YOU Bianca enjoyed working with Zoe at the Miranda Center, and thanked Jeff for offering to help out there. She apologized to him, saying his relationship with her mother was none of her business, and she was going to do her best to stay out of it. Who knew? She might even return the favor. Jeff smiled, “I wouldn’t hold your breath.” Zach knew as soon as he saw Bianca that she knew about the baby; she congratulated him and said it was so great! He spoke to her about Alexander’s wishes and threat to create the Michael Cambias Foundation, and wondered how she had made sure that the past never touched Miranda? He didn’t want to turn his back on the wonderful things the Miranda Center had accomplished. Bianca told him if he did decide to take over Cambias, it didn’t have to be about his father. He could beat the past; it was amazing what a person could accomplish if somebody just believed in them, “I believe in you.” Calling her a wonderful aunt, Zach left. When Erica showed up wanting her to smooth things over with Josh, Bianca was stunned to learn that Babe was alive. She shared the news with Zoe, who was ecstatic and hurried to tell Amanda. Jeff came back into the room as Erica told Bianca that Josh was upset with her for telling J.R., despite the fact that she did it to protect him. When Bianca walked out on her, Jeff told Erica this time, she may have lost their son completely. When Bianca came into the room, Babe looked up and smiled at her. Bianca wordlessly returned the smile. YOU KNOW HOW IT IS WITH SECRETS Tad told Josh he wanted to help Babe, but he couldn’t unless someone told him why Babe felt she had to run away with her son, what J.R. was using against her. Josh said he knew how it was with secrets—some were better left buried! He didn’t say anything about his secret; now Tad should drop this one. He walked out, leaving Tad puzzled at his anger. MAKE HIM SEE IT’S THE BEST WAY As Ryan packed up his things at Cambias Industries, Kendall came to ask him to convince Zach to take over, make him see it was the best way to get back at his dad. She knew Zach had a lot to work through when it came to Alexander, but she thought if he took over here, he would have control over his legacy. Ryan got where she was coming from, but said to do him a favor and leave him out of it. Kendall asked him to please help her make this happen. Jonathan came in and said he was thrilled, “You asked Annie to marry you? Now how do we make this happen?” As Alexander sat in his jail cell, he was surprised when Zach came in. RIGHT BACK UNDER J.R.’S THUMB When Josh went to the Chandler mansion, Krystal asked if Babe was okay? Josh said she was great, right back under J.R.’s thumb, “And you gave him the weapon that’ll keep her there for the rest of her life!” Krystal told him to come in. As she closed the door behind them, Tad watched in surprise.

pika- 03-23-2007

Wednesday, March 14, 2007 GONE UP IN FLAMES When Zach told him he’d accept his gift, he’d take over Cambias, Alexander said the Cambias blood would always win out, and wondered what compelled him to crawl back to him on his knees? Zach told him he wasn’t on his knees. Alexander thought his son carrying on his legacy had been worth the struggle, the lives. Zach said no, he was going to rebuild Cambias from the ground up, and would honor all the lives he took. It would be their legacy, something they could be proud of, something his mom would be proud of. He had no hold over him, not anymore. He wanted him to imagine another car crash, “Whatever you were to me, whatever I was to you—it’s gone. Gone up in flames.” MORE CHILDREN, MORE LOVE Jonathan didn’t see Kendall standing behind the door as he told Ryan how happy he was that he’d asked Annie to marry him. Kendall told Ryan if life with Annie was what he really wanted, she was happy for him. As Ryan asked if she meant that, Kendall suddenly rushed from the room. When she returned, Ryan asked why she ran out like that? He was worried when she said she was sick, but she insisted it was normal. Ryan realized she was pregnant, and asked if Zach knew? Kendall said yes, and he was thrilled. It was hope and strength, a future. She now understood what he’d tried to tell her about Emma not taking anything away from Spike. More children, more love. Ryan hugged her and said he was so happy for her. They laughed together about pregnancy cravings, and she recalled the dreams she had about big balloons with bellybuttons. Kendall sighed that she had to give Annie credit. She was the whole Mother Earth package. She could picture her with an even dozen never breaking a sweat. His vasectomy kind of reduced the number of children to Emma, “So she really must love you.” She got a call from Zach asking her to meet him at the casino right away—he’d found the key! When Jonathan returned, Ryan worried that he hadn’t told Annie about the vasectomy yet. Jonathan insisted it wouldn’t matter, because she was in love with him; she’d told him that. Ryan called that huge, “Now I just have to show her that I’m worthy.” SO MUCH FOR REDEMPTION Bianca thanked God that Babe was alive, and told her she’d realized something when they thought she didn’t make it, “I forgive you for everything.” She wanted another chance to be friends again. Babe cried with her, and said she’d never stopped loving her. After they dried their tears, Babe said J.R. had come there and said he was going to do whatever he could to get her to love him again. He forgave her, he had changed for good, and he'd never hurt her again, but she wasn’t going back to him. Bianca understood she was scared he hadn’t changed, and would blackmail her again. Babe was stunned to hear about the attack on Zoe, and how J.R. had left her on the ground to die, “So much for J.R.'s redemption.” Bianca thought he was sincere in his apology to Zoe, but agreed Babe would have an uphill battle for her son. She hated to be negative, but she knew J.R., “If I were you, I would be prepared, because that secret is bound to come out.” THE THREAT TO BABE IS YOU Josh told Krystal that J.R. was supposedly swept up in the miracle of Babe being alive. He was all about love and promises—the promise to keep her secret was his biggest weapon, and she knew what she had to do to change that. Babe would sacrifice her freedom and happiness to J.R. because she’d be afraid for her. She’d live with that fear for the rest of her life! Krystal noted that he liked this secret when he could use it to get Babe to run with him, but now that it wasn’t working for him, it was a weapon? Josh asked, “You think I’m as bad as J.R.?” He laid a guilt trip on her for dumping her secret on Babe—J.R. was trouble, but she was the real threat to Babe. Seeing Tad, J.R. asked him in to celebrate, but Tad said he had just followed Josh here. He didn’t know what Josh was doing here, but guessed it had something to do with whatever it is that he used to blackmail Babe. He warned he wouldn’t let him hurt Babe, but J.R. insisted he never would again. The best way he could make her feel safe was by burying what he knew. It was only powerful if it got out, and it wasn’t going to, so could he just keep it buried? Tad agreed he would, for him. J.R. came in and realized Josh knew about the baby; he warned that his father and Tad had better not hear it from him. Josh left, and J.R. repeated his promise not to tell her secret. He told Krystal that Babe still wanted a divorce, but he was determined to win her back. SO FAR, SO GOOD When Colby had an idea to help Babe and J.R. get back together, Adam told her to just be herself and let them know she cared. He explained he used to believe the only way to get what you wanted was by bending, breaking, forcing, but he’d found Krystal to be an inspiration to him. Trust love, have faith, and be honest, “So far, so good.” THE KEY TO OUR FUTURE Kendall found Zach at the gazebo and was touched by the candles, balloons and signs, “We’re having a baby!” Zach pointed out that the balloons were bellybutton balloons, from her dreams, and gave Kendall a silver bracelet with a key, calling it the key to the home he was going to build for them, the key to their future, and the key to a heart he thought was burnt up 20 years ago in a car crash. He was pleased when she told him the names she wanted to name their child, Zachary Ethan for a boy, and Amelia Bianca for a girl. I HOPE TO GOD YOU DIG IT UP At the park, Josh asked Tad if he was still sniffing around that blackmail secret? He hoped to God he’d dig it up, because it was the only way Babe was going to be free of J.R. THE SECRET WASN’T HERS When Adam returned home, Krystal told him that J.R. would do anything to get Babe back, and she’d given him the power to do that. When Adam asked what she’d done, Krystal admitted J.R. was using her to blackmail Babe, “The secret wasn't hers. It's mine.”

pika- 03-23-2007

Thursday, March 15, 2007 I GET IT Ryan told Annie he’d forgotten to tell her something critical before he asked her to marry him. What he had to tell her could convince her to say no. He’d figured out he wanted her in his life forever, and got so caught up in the future that he forgot about the past, about a mistake that he made in the past. He explained his reasons for having the vasectomy, and was relieved when Annie got why he’d done it. She assured him if she decided not to marry him, it wouldn’t be because she couldn’t give birth to his baby. She asked how he felt about adoption, and insisted biology didn’t make a parent. Ryan thought she made it sound amazing, and told her to come with him. She was surprised when they flew to Manhattan in the private jet, ostensibly to buy St. Patrick’s Day hats for Emma, and totally shocked when he came back to the plane with a diamond engagement ring. Ryan got down on one knee and proposed again, but Annie felt she still needed more time. Ryan agreed to put the ring in his pocket until she was ready to give him an answer, and they shared a kiss. STARTING OVER Zoe and Babe had a joyous reunion. Bianca thanked Josh so much for saving Babe. Josh was still angry that Erica told J.R. that Babe was alive before he could get her and her son out of town, and asked how he could protect her from that bastard. Bianca didn’t think it was the best idea anyway; aside from the fact that taking Little A would be kidnapping, Babe didn’t really want to leave. Josh wasn’t pleased when Bianca compared his tactics to Erica’s when it came to getting what he wanted, and cautioned that he could take Babe to the most beautiful destination on the other side of the world, but her heart was in Pine Valley. Babe told Zoe she was so sorry about the attack on her, and even sorrier that J.R. didn’t help. Zoe shrugged that he had apologized, and she was over it. She thanked some higher power for Babe’s survival, and said she was an inspiration to her. Babe was proud of her friend for taking the first steps toward transition and for going to the support group meeting, and said Zoe was the inspiration. Zoe credited Bianca for giving her the courage to pursue her true self, and kissed Josh as she thanked him for saving her life. Zoe and Bianca left, and Josh told Babe he’d gone to see Krystal to make sure J.R. didn’t ambush her. Babe thanked him for that, and insisted it was for the best that they hadn’t left town; she needed to stay here and take on J.R., and figure out some sort of custody agreement before J.R. freaked out and ruined her mama’s life. Josh understood she couldn’t be happy unless the people she loved were happy, too. When Babe spoke about the two of them, Josh told her they were starting over. NOBODY DOES REVENGE LIKE ADAM CHANDLER “J.R. was blackmailing Babe with a secret of yours?” Adam asked. As Krystal opened her mouth to speak, J.R. came in and exclaimed, “Don't! Don't say anything, Krystal.” He told Adam it was something that happened in Krystal's past before she met him, “Let it go, both of you.” Krystal agreed to speak with J.R. alone before filling Adam in; Adam took Colby out onto the terrace. Krystal said she was telling Adam everything tonight for Babe. J.R. insisted that was the last thing Babe wanted, and asked what Josh said to her? Was he pressuring her to tell his dad about the baby being Tad’s? Krystal felt J.R. was the only one forcing her to tell Adam. For the rest of his life, if Babe did something he didn’t like, he could use the truth to torment her. J.R. insisted he would never do that. Unable to convince her it was the right thing to do for Babe, J.R. asked what she thought this news would do to his father and the rest of them? Adam cursed as he wondered what was taking them so long, and remembered Colby had told him something about a secret Krystal had. He insisted she tell him everything she remembered; Colby reluctantly admitted Krystal told Tad that Dixie had the ammo to blow her world sky-high. J.R. warned Krystal that no one did revenge like Adam Chandler, and it wasn’t too late to change her mind. She should make up some trashy story to get Adam off her back, but if she really wanted to protect Babe, if she loved his father, she’d keep the truth about Charlotte to herself. Adam and Colby came back in, and Adam told his children he’d like to be alone with his wife. Adam asked Krystal if she was going to tell him what she’d been hiding, or should he call Tad? After all, it was his secret, too, wasn’t it? J.R. was upset with Colby for not keeping her mouth shut; she said Adam had made her spill—she didn’t want to! She didn’t even know what the secret is, just that they had one and his mom knew about it. YOU WERE FABULOUS! Zoe and Bianca went to the Valley Inn bar to celebrate Babe’s resurrection with champagne; Zoe endured the stares and whispers with grace. Barbara came in with Sean; seeing Bianca with Zoe, she commented that Bianca was acting out again. Bianca told her off, calling her a bigot and saying after she came out as a lesbian, she learned really fast that intolerance came from insecurity and stupidity, “I just didn't expect the first stupid, insecure person in my life would be you.” She returned to Zoe, who said she didn't intend to eavesdrop, but she was fabulous! JUST SAY THE WORD Josh left the room and came back; he introduced himself to Babe again as a gesture of starting over. They laughed together before he turned serious and said he knew she was going through a rough time. If she needed a friend, he was there. He would even leave if that was what she wanted—just say the word. J.R. rushed in and told Babe to come with him, “Your mother is about to decimate her life.” HE’S PART OF IT Krystal told Adam that Tad didn’t just know her secret, he was part of it, and admitted she’d gone to bed with him. When she tearfully asked Adam to say something, he asked, “The baby you're carrying… It’s Tad's, isn't it?”

pika- 03-23-2007

Friday, March 16, 2007 NOTHING? Babe pro-*test*-('")ed that her mama wouldn't, but J.R. insisted she was confessing it to Adam right then; she thought she had to despite his trying like hell to talk her out of it. He asked Josh what he said to Krystal anyway? When Josh said he wouldn't let her risk her life for nothing, Babe took umbrage at his calling it nothing, and left with J.R. to support her mother. MAYBE YOU CHANGED ME At Josh's loft, Bianca and Zoe weren't ready to let the night end; they went inside for more champagne. When Bianca wondered if this night could get any better, Zoe produced a decadent chocolate cake. She asked if Bianca had heard from Maggie, but apologized and called it awkward. Bianca said it was okay. They had no real contact, but she thought about her a lot and wondered how Maggie could have cheated on the person that she supposedly loved more than life itself? It changed the way she felt about her. Maybe being back here in Pine Valley changed her, too. Her family, her friends dead, hurt, threatened, "Or maybe it was you." She stroked Zoe's cheek, "Maybe you changed me." They were about to share a kiss when Josh came in and announced that Babe was with J.R., and things were about to blow sky-high. Bianca thought that was just what Josh had wanted, and again said he wasn't very different from Erica. Josh said if Krystal did leave the mansion, Babe and Little A would be right behind her. PEOPLE AND THEIR DREAMS Ryan and Annie kissed by the fireplace at Wildwind and spoke about their dreams. Ryan spoke of his desire to invest in people and their dreams, kind of like a startup company he had once, only on a bigger scale. Annie's dream was to give Emma the best childhood ever, and Ryan wanted to help her make that dream come true. As things heated up, Jonathan came in; Ryan insisted it was all right, as he was about to leave. He did so, and Jonathan happily said he knew he was right to tell Ryan how she felt about him. Annie was horrified that he'd told Ryan, and thought it ruined everything because she no longer knew if he was falling for her or if it was just because of what Jonathan had told him. DON'T DO SOMETHING YOU'LL REGRET Adam was furious when Krystal admitted that the baby was Tad's, and guessed that she was never going to tell him the truth; Krystal agreed she never wanted him to find out. After overhearing them, Colby met Sean on the porch and worried that her family wasn't going to make it. She thought Krystal was for real; she finally really liked her. Sean called that a big mistake. It's all about parents, parental figures, what they want, and when they want it, "And if we're smart, we stay out of their way." Adam called it priceless that Dixie had seen Tad and Krystal together, and noted she'd been right about being able to tell him something that would completely change his feelings for her. He shook with rage as he said she'd taken everything that mattered from him, including any feeling he ever had for her! Krystal insisted she loved him and knew his love for her could get him past anything; Adam asked if she really believed all the crud she was spewing? The night she was supposedly alone all night with Tad Martin, talking, he knew better but he wanted to believe her. As Krystal repeatedly proclaimed her love for him, J.R. and Babe came in. Babe realized it was too late, her mama had spilled to Adam. Adam pointed at J.R. and accused, "You knew. My devoted son, my namesake. You knew!" J.R. asked if he could blame them for not wanting him to find out? He told his dad he'd ruined his own life in so many ways, and urged him not to make the kind of mistakes that he did. Don't do something that he would regret. Krystal begged Adam to accept this; she, Babe and J.R. agreed it could stay in the family and no one had to know. Adam looked at all three of them before walking out of the room. LOVE CAN'T EVER BE DUPLICATED As Tad searched the Internet for information about Krystal, Julia came to the office. Tad was upset when she passed on an invitation from Kathy to be her daddy date at a family picnic. Julia admitted she may have confused her because she told her that sometimes you can choose who your family is, "And she chose you." Tad thought that was too bad, "Because after everything I have been through, no child can ever, or will ever, replace Kate." Julia understood that love can't ever be duplicated, can never be like what came before or what'll come after. Tad admitted maybe it was just his need, but lately when he looked in Kathy's eyes, he saw Kate or Dixie staring back at him, and that was just too much to take right now. Julia sympathetically touched his cheek and said work was going to seem easy after this. Tad told her the problem was that you just never know what's going to hit you. He got a call and sighed, "Oh. It's you. Listen, I'm busy, I can't. Okay, shut up. Just leave me alone, all right? I'm on my way, but this had better be good." Julia went home to find Annie sitting on the floor and staring into the fire. She sank down beside her, and Annie sighed that love was complicated. Julia agreed, "Yeah, it is, isn't it?" A COMMAND PERFORMANCE When Colby said she couldn't give up on them, Sean told her you don't always have a choice. Colby plaintively sighed that she wanted her family. Sean held her, "I know." J.R. looked on helplessly as Babe comforted Krystal. When the doorbell rang, he said he'd take care of this. When he opened the door, Tad walked past him into the house as he thanked God-was he all right? As J.R. told him this really wasn't a good time, Krystal saw Tad and asked him why he was there? Tad suggested she tell him. This wasn't his idea; it was a command performance. Adam came into the room, and Tad demanded, "Okay, you want to tell me what the hell this is about?" Adam gestured at Krystal as he replied, "Take your woman and the spawn you put in her and get the hell out of my house."

pika- 03-23-2007

Monday, March 19, 2007 BECAUSE OF YOU When Tad asked exactly what he thought he knew, Adam exclaimed, “Look around, you idiot! Everyone in this room knows you had sex with my wife.” Tad called it a huge mistake, and he was deeply sorry, but he was dead wrong about that baby. Adam gestured at Krystal, Babe and J.R. as he said they were all in on it. His beloved Dixie learned it from Krystal's own mouth. And his cherished stepson, J.R.? He knew, and used it to blackmail his wife. They all said it could be a family secret, and he didn’t ever have to know. Tad was stunned when Krystal admitted, “The baby is yours.” Adam left the room, and J.R. went after him. Tad confronted Krystal, furious that she’d lied to him and made him doubt the truth Dixie had told him. Dixie died thinking he didn’t believe in her, because of Krystal, and there was no way he could go back and fix it. Krystal said she’d made a choice for herself and her child, and she chose Adam. When Dixie finally got the confirmation from her, she didn't go to him with the truth because she knew that he didn't want just any child. He wanted Kate. Tad angrily told her not to dare put this off on her, make it look like her decision! She came to him time and time again. She begged him to listen to her, and every time he shot her down, “Because of you.” He accused her of being worse than Greg Madden because he trusted her, “He took one of my children, you took the other.” He called her selfish, but Krystal insisted he didn’t want this baby. Her baby was Charlotte Carey Chandler, and she was Adam’s daughter in every way that counted. Adam loved this baby—could he honestly say that he does, too? Tad coldly replied, “You never gave me the chance.” MOST OF ALL, FOR YOU Babe found Colby in the library, and asked if she was happy now that the big secret was out? To her surprise, Colby stood and hugged her. Babe said she wanted to make things better, but didn’t know how. Colby asked what they were now? Friends? Family? She was a real part of her life. She even started to love her. If Krystal loved her dad, how could she do this to him? Krystal came in and said she did love him, but Colby left the room. Babe asked her mama why she told the truth? Krystal said she had to, for Adam and Tad, “But most of all, for you.” As long as she was protecting her secret, she was a prisoner. Josh was right. YOU WERE A DAMN LIE In their bedroom, Adam angrily pulled Krystal’s clothing from a drawer and cried that it was a damn lie, “You were a damn lie.” J.R. came in and said Krystal made one mistake. Was he going to let that wipe out all the good she'd given him? Adam insisted she didn’t mean a thing to him—nothing! He reminded J.R. that when his wife was bed-hopping behind his back and he caught her, he flew into a homicidal rage, got drunk and jumped out a fourth-story window. And now he was preaching forgiveness? J.R. replied that he thought Babe was gone forever. He wasn’t wasting any more time; he knew what mattered, and that was family. Adam said when he chose those two piranhas over his own flesh and blood, he ceased being his family, “So forget the inheritance. You're no longer a Chandler and you're no longer my son.” He picked up a drawer full of clothing and left the room. Outside, he burned all of Krystal’s things and those he’d purchased for Charlotte and cried at all he’d lost. Colby came out and tried to stop him, but he shoved her aside. Frightened, Colby called Stuart to come right away. Stuart did, and Adam cried in his arms about how he loved Krystal and she betrayed him. SHE’D BE JUST AS ASHAMED Tad lashed out at J.R. for spitting on his mother’s dying wish, and said Dixie would be just as ashamed of him as he was. All that time, all those years gone, she came back to do the right thing. “And you? J.R., it's like she died for nothing.” When Josh showed up to check on Babe, Tad said Josh hoped someone would tell him the secret. Why? Because he wanted to get to Babe? Josh replied, “Like I told you before, some secrets are better left buried.” IT WAS ME Krystal looked out and saw Adam torching the clothes; she cried she had a dream that David was going to try to torch their family and burn it to the ground, “But it wasn't David. And it wasn't J.R. or Josh. It was me.” Josh came in as Krystal was having a panic attack; he said she and Babe should both get out of there because the place was toxic. Krystal insisted she wasn’t going anywhere; she was going to stay and fight for her husband and her marriage. Babe thanked Josh for saving her life, “Now stay the hell out of it.” TEXTBOOK CHANDLER Adam poured himself a drink and offered one to J.R., calling deceit and destruction his version of love. J.R. agreed that what he did to Babe was sadistic, but it was textbook Chandler. It came right out of his playbook. They had all hurt him, but they could get through this thing together. Adam declared he did have a little bit of pride left. J.R. asked what good were pride, power and money if you’re alone? Tad told Adam that baby was an innocent; she had nothing to do with it. Adam laughed at the irony—he married Krystal because of sex, and now he was going to divorce her for the same reason. He warned Tad if he named that baby Charlotte, he’d kill him. Adam told Krystal to get out, but she refused to leave. Adam told J.R. that the Carey women were all he had left, and they deserved each other. J.R. and Babe got Krystal to lie down on the bed, Babe beside her, and J.R. covered them both with a blanket as he said not to worry, “I’ll protect you both.” Babe told her mama not to worry, they’d find a way, “Adam loves you. He loves you both.” Tad sat on the stone bench outside the front door and sighed, “God, a baby. My baby. Okay, Dixie, you were right. Now what do I do?” Adam dropped his wedding ring into the smoldering trash can as he vowed, “You will know what it is to be burned. When I'm done, you'll have nothing left. All of you will pay.”

pika- 03-23-2007

Tuesday, March 20, 2007 DO I REALLY WANT THIS? Zach asked Ryan to stay and run Cambias with him, but Ryan declined. He explained that it would be a relief not to have to deal with the shareholders and all the stress, and he was going to start a venture capital firm of his own. Zach understood he wanted to do his own thing; he knew this company was tainted, but Alex couldn’t control it or them anymore. Ryan agreed, and said he was the first guy to want to forget the past, but this was not his fight. He got a call from Annie, who asked if he could stop by Wildwind when he was done? She needed to talk to him. Ryan left, and Zach picked up the nameplate he left behind as he wondered, “Do I really want this?” Jonathan came in, and was upset to see Zach in his brother’s office. He blamed him for his sister’s death, and now his brother was out of a job? Kendall defended Zach, saying sometimes people get hurt without someone intending it, “You, of all people, with your shady past, should know that. You can't blame Zach for the way things turned out.” Jonathan wondered, “Can't I?” Kendall worried that all this Cambias stuff couldn’t be easy on Zach. Zach put his arms around her, touching her belly, as he said it was a new life, a new start, and he want their children to be proud of their dad. Whatever they wanted to do in life, he was going to encourage them. YOU HAVE A VOTE NOW Jamie and Julia were stunned when Tad told them Krystal was carrying his baby and had lied to him about it. Learning that J.R. knew and kept the secret, Jamie stormed out. Julia asked Tad if he wanted this baby? It was a question he should answer, if only for himself. Tad sighed he just wrapped his mind around being a father to one little girl, a little walking, talking Dixie. And he vaguely remembered screaming at her about one child not substituting for another. He just didn’t know… Julia agreed no child could ever replace Kate, but only he could decide if this child was a gift. Tad mused that a baby was the last thing he expected. He thought he knew Krystal, but it turned out he didn’t know her at all. Julia reminded him how he’d told her that maybe Kathy was part of God's plan, “Maybe now He's knocking on your door.” Tad sighed he wouldn’t want Adam raising a child—he wouldn’t let that man raise a flag! Julia noted, “Well, you have a vote now. What are you going to do with it?” When she said he had to do what he needed to do, Tad replied, “No. I need to do what that baby needs me to do.” Julia thought he had his answer. Tad nodded, “I'm going to get my daughter out of there.” THIS IS THE BIG ONE When Krystal brought a breakfast tray to Adam and hoped they could talk, he threw it across the room and accused her of having poisoned the food. He told her to take her tray and Tad Martin's baby and get the hell out of his house. Krystal asked if he thought yelling was going to work? He was not going to scare her out of here. She loved him, and she was not leaving him. Adam asked if she didn’t have any pride? She wasn’t wanted! He had a call in to Barry Shire—she was going to be the ex-Mrs. Chandler before the bars opened! Krystal insisted she had never known a love as sweet and as strong as his. He’d been the grea-*test*-('") surprise and the grea-*test*-('") blessing in her life. Adam noted she was the grea-*test*-('") disappointment in his. Krystal refused to leave, saying he loved her and needed her as much as she needed him. If he needed to punish her, then just bring it on, “Because this is the big one. This is the capital L for both of us, Adam, and it is not going to end, not even for this.” When Adam said maybe there was something that she could do, Krystal told him to name it. She was stunned when Adam said to get rid of the baby, “Dump the mongrel off at an orphanage or something, put it up for adoption—I don't care.” Krystal wiped away tears as she said he was an S.O.B.! “So that's the way it is, huh? It's either her or you?” Adam agreed, that’s the way it was. I THOUGHT YOU LOVED TAD When J.R. came in and kissed her cheek to wake her, Babe told him never to do that again—he’d lost the right to kiss her! They were not back together, they were not getting back together, and as soon as this situation with her mama was resolved, hopefully they could figure out a way to share Little A. J.R. insisted he only wanted her to know he was on her side, and Krystal’s. He was the former heir to the throne, out just like her and Krystal. He had no more inheritance, and didn’t think Tad would ever forgive him. Jamie came in and declared, “I sure as hell never will.” He thought he loved Tad! J.R. thought he was the last person who should be lecturing him about stealing babies. When Babe came in, Jamie hugged her, glad she was alive, and asked if she planned to stay with J.R.? Told no, Jamie called that good. OH, HELL Ryan grinned when Annie led him into the stables, but she only intended to talk. She said his brother was wrong, she wasn’t in love with him. Ryan accepted that, and gave Annie a sensual lesson on riding a horse. Annie sighed, “Oh, hell. I am in love with you.” POOR ADAM, POOR BABY When Babe said Adam Chandler wasn’t worth her tears, Krystal couldn’t believe she was hearing that from her after all the times she’d warned her about J.R. Adam had every right to be upset—look what she’d done to him! She was going to stay here until she convinced him that they belong together, but Babe didn’t have to stay. Stuart came in and said he used to put his brother back together when bad stuff happened, but this time he thought he might be broken for good. Adam looked on, smiling faintly, as two cops arrived and arrested Babe and Krystal.

pika- 03-23-2007

Wednesday, March 21, 2007 WHERE THE TWO OF US DIFFER J.R. told Adam he couldn’t have Babe and Krystal arrested just because he said so! Told that they were accused of suspicion of conspiracy to defraud, J.R. insisted he’d straighten this out. He’d get the charges dropped, bail posted, whatever needed to be done. Babe and Krystal thanked him and were led out. Adam said with a little luck and a prudent judge, Little Adam might never see those women again. J.R. warned if anything happened to Krystal or Krystal's baby, or Babe had a relapse, it would be on his head! Adam shrugged he’d dealt with worse, noting J.R. had never been on the receiving end of his wrath. Stuart was upset that Adam had Babe and Krystal arrested, and reminded Adam that he loved Krystal. He was hurt when Adam said they differed in that he didn’t enough tolerance to be happy with a town tramp for a wife. I WILL LOVE YOU TOMORROW MORE THAN TODAY Annie admitted to Ryan that Jonathan got it right; she was in love with him, but it wasn’t enough; they both deserved the whole "heart, mind, body, and soul" thing. Ryan insisted he would never have asked her to marry him if he didn’t think he could love her the way she needs. He loved her more today than yesterday, and would love her more tomorrow than today. Annie insisted it wasn’t enough; they were in two completely different worlds, and it wouldn’t be fair to either of them. After she left the stables, Jonathan found his brother there. Learning that Annie turned Ryan’s proposal down, Jonathan said they’d lost Erin, Ryan lost Cambias, and now he was going to let Annie get away? Ryan said no, he was going to fight for her, and just had to figure out the right way to do that. BE NICE Josh refused to talk to Erica, but Zoe urged him to be nice and listen to what she had to say. Erica insisted she’d told J.R. that Babe was alive with the best of intentions to keep her son from ruining his life, and she’d do it again if necessary. As she left the loft, she got a call from Adam who told her, “If you want to purge Babe from your son's life, do exactly as I say.” HELP HAS ARRIVED As Bianca and Kendall lamented the lack of staff at Fusion, Zoe arrived to offer her help; she wanted to be a part of the company at any level. Kendall took Bianca into the next room to speak privately, and accused her sister of falling for Zoe. Bianca denied it, claiming they were friends, but Kendall warned she was asking for trouble. Josh showed up to make good on his promise to Bianca and Kendall that he would help with the fall launch. He asked Di if she’d heard from Babe? Did she know if she was coming in today? Josh was annoyed at Zoe for letting Erica into the loft, but Zoe admitted she was envious of Josh having a mother who cared—did he know how lucky he was? After Bianca threatened to quit if a position wasn’t found for Zoe, Kendall agreed to hire her. All were stunned to learn that Babe and Krystal had been arrested. THIS IS OFFICIAL Tad told Joe and Livia that he was the father of Krystal’s baby, and asked Livia how hard it was to get custody of a child that hadn’t been born yet? Livia urged him to wait, but Joe was delighted with the prospect of having a new granddaughter. After comparing the DNA profiles of Tad and Krystal’s unborn child, Joe congratulated Tad and said it was official—he was going to have a daughter! I’D LIKE A JOB Annie arrived at Fusion and asked Kendall for a job. When Kendall wondered if she didn’t have a wedding to plan, Annie said no, she wasn’t going to marry Ryan, so there wasn’t going to be a wedding. She was taken aback when Kendall hugged her. WHAT BETTER WAY TO BABE-PROOF JOSH? As the station, an insurance man showed up and said the Chandler women had conspired to bilk his company out of $1 million, crediting an informant with alerting them. As J.R. sighed he could guess who that was, Adam came into the squad room. Derek said he had a witness who could corroborate that Krystal knew her daughter was alive when she filed the insurance claim. Krystal pro-*test*-('")ed that Adam had her sign a lot of papers when they thought Babe was dead, but she hadn’t filed any claim. Adam’s witness, Erica, arrived, and asked him what he’d dragged her into? As Krystal insisted this wasn’t about conspiracy or collusion or money, Tad came in and agreed it wasn’t; it was about the fact that Krystal was pregnant with his baby. Adam reminded Erica that Babe and Krystal had made her life hell. Now, what better way to Babe-proof Josh than to send those two women away for a long, long time? After Babe admitted to Jack that she’d considered running away with Josh, J.R. said he didn’t like it, but he understood why it was an option. Babe appreciated his standing up to his father and hiring Jack to represent them, but she really hoped he wasn’t doing this in hopes that she’d come back to him, because it wasn’t going to happen. J.R. shook his head, “I'll get you and Krystal home.” Jack told Adam, “So Krystal had an affair. I understand how that feels, believe me, but divorce her. Don't send her back to prison.” Adam insisted Krystal did more than commit adultery. She was a thief, and so was her daughter. Erica noted she didn't think it was possible, but this was a new low, even for her and Babe. Krystal told her, “You know, I may be pregnant, but I can still take you on.” Derek asked if they could finish up here, please? “Erica, it all comes down to you. Did you see Babe and Krystal Chandler on the night in question—yes or no? Do we proceed with the charges, or do we let Babe and Krystal go home?” As Erica started to reply, Josh, Bianca and Zoe rushed in.

pika- 03-26-2007

Thursday, March 22, 2007 PLEASE DON’T LOSE HER Upset about Ryan losing Cambias, Jonathan insisted he couldn’t lose Annie! Ryan realized this was about Jonathan losing Lily. He told Jonathan to just grab a piece of life, and he might want to start with something a little bit more challenging than being a bartender. Jonathan agreed the resume needed a little attention, and Ryan suggested he go to Cambias where he didn’t need a resume. Erin would give him a kick and tell him to go for it! A PERFECT ADDITION As Zach pondered his future at Cambias, Lily came in and accurately noted, “You don't want to be here.” Change is difficult, and that’s why he was unhappy. She didn’t like change, either, but sometimes we had to do it. That's why she was there, to apply for a job. This was part of her new plan, to attend PVU and work at Cambias until she had enough money to transfer to M.I.T.; she was an adult now, so she should pay her own way. When Zach said he didn’t like it there, not the name or the place, Lily suggested he change the name. It was his company, and he could do whatever he wanted! Zach called her brilliant and agreed he could do what he wanted, and he wanted to hire her. She’d be a perfect addition to his yet-to-be-named new company. Jonathan arrived, and was surprised to see Lily working as Zach’s private personal assistant. He told her he’d come to ask for a job, but he was out of practice with the whole suit-and-tie, 9 to 5 thing, “Thanks, anyway.” SO MUCH FOR PLAYING NICE Kendall told Annie she had a whole new respect for her. If she was smart enough to walk away from a doomed relationship, then she wasn’t not the manipulative bitch she thought she was. Annie agreed, “No, but you are certainly the manipulative bitch I thought you were.” Kendall raised an eyebrow as she noted, “So much for playing nice.” Learning that Kendall was pregnant, Annie congratulated her and said she was pregnant, married to the man of her dreams, and yet she had to obsess on her ex? Kendall insisted Ryan could play house with her or whomever he wanted, but thank God she didn't accept Ryan's proposal, “Because honestly, I don't see how you could be happy knowing that Ryan doesn't love you as much as you love him.” Annie declared she scared her to death, “That is why you want me out of Ryan's life! That's why you won't hire me.” To her surprise, Kendall did hire her, “Just try to keep up.” Di thought Annie should marry Ryan—the cherry on the top would be flipping Kendall off! Annie hurried out. READY TO MAKE MY STATEMENT At the station, Adam said Erica was their star witness; Bianca worriedly asked her mother, “Please tell me that you're not a part of this.” Adam insisted Krystal knew Babe wasn't dead when she tried to cash in on Babe's life insurance, and Erica saw them together, before Krystal filed the claim. As Erica said she was fully prepared to tell the truth, Babe faked a faint; she told Josh and Bianca to get Erica off her mama's back before she took her down. When Tad urged Adam to call it off, Adam told him if he’d get that tramp and her belly out of his house he’d do him one better—he’d never speak to him again. Bianca told Erica the charge was bogus, and she knew it. Erica insisted Josh would get over Babe, but she may never get another chance like this. She had the power to make sure that Babe loses everything she loved. Bianca warned, “You have the power to make sure that you lose everything you love, too.” When Josh and J.R. again clashed over Babe, she told them they needed to find something else to fight about, because she was so out of the running. Tad heard J.R. threatening to pull the Chandler business from the insurance company, and said he really was his father’s son. Erica denied seeing Babe and Krystal before the insurance claim was filed, telling Adam he’d forgotten that he couldn’t manipulate her. Adam snarled that she disgusted him—they all did! He warned, “Get rooms, everybody. You're not getting in my house tonight.” Krystal thanked Erica, who didn’t want anything to do with her, lashing out at her for trying to steal Tad’s baby. After Derek said Babe and Krystal were free to go, Tad told Krystal he intended to sue for custody of the baby. Krystal was furious, and vowed it wasn’t going to happen. Erica told Josh she didn’t lie to save Babe and Krystal. She did it for him. She wanted so badly to undo any of the damage she’s done to their relationship. Josh disgustedly says their lives were blown to hell the minute she told J.R. that Babe was alive. It would take a lot more than that performance to undo it. Zoe comforted Erica and advised her to give Josh some space. Jack told Erica he knew she lied, “Thank you for putting an end to that before somebody got hurt.” He told her he’d set up a meeting for them and their attorneys to finalize the divorce; he didn’t want to drag it out. AMAZING MOTHER, AMAZING CHILD Zach came into Fusion to find Kendall taking out her frustrations on a computer, and asks who did what to her? Kendall told him she’d given Annie a job, but that woman was a huge pain in her butt, “She actually thinks that I want Ryan all to myself.” Zach noted, “She's not the only one.” Kendall admitted she wanted to run Ryan’s life; it was a control thing. Erica came in and overheard them talking about the baby Kendall was carrying. WELCOME TO YOUR CASTLE After seeing a picture book that Annie had made for Emma about Princess Emmaline and Queen Annabelle, Ryan surprised Annie with a room makeover, “Welcome to your castle, Queen Annabelle.” ROOM FOR ONE MORE Adam stormed into the house and gave orders to change the locks and board up the doors and windows! When J.R. arrived with Babe and Krystal, he broke down a terrace door to get inside. Adam ordered them out, but J.R. insisted they were staying because they loved him. They were all stunned to find Tad in the parlor. He noted it looked like a hell of a party, “Better make room for one more.”

Friday, March 23, 2007 LET ME BE PART OF YOUR MAGIC Annie was speechless over the castle Ryan had recreated from her illustrated book—he nailed every last detail! When she moved away from him, Ryan asked what was wrong? Annie said it was perfect and he was perfect, yet she was so angry she could strangle him. Ryan apologized for crossing the line, but Annie was sorry that he couldn’t do anything wrong—how many times did she have to say “no”? Ryan said this was actually her fault! She was a genius storyteller, and that was what put him over the edge. It was easy to say that life could use a little bit more magic, but she actually showed him how it could really be. He asked her to write him into her book—let him be part of the magic! After they shared a kiss, Ryan was taken aback when Annie abruptly moved away and told him to get out, “Get away from me.” ARE YOU HAPPY FOR ME? Kendall told her mother she and Zach were having a child, and were both thrilled. Erica hugged her, “Congratulations, sweetheart. I'm so happy for you.” Zach asked, “Are you happy for me?” Kendall left them alone together, and Erica admitted she’d hoped her daughter would return to Ryan. Zach agreed he made different choices than Ryan and didn’t look at the world the same way, but he swore he would protect Spike and Kendall and that baby with his life. Kendall returned and said they had to leave or they’d be late for Miranda's party. DIFFERENT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE BAD Zoe arrived to find Bianca and Josh arguing about Krystal and the situation at the Chandlers’; she told them to give it a rest—they didn’t have a single decoration in place! Bianca told Josh he interfered because of Babe. He was hoping that this little bomb would blow her out of J.R.'s life and into his full-time, “Well, congratulations. The Chandler family is rubble and you're still alone.” Josh said with any luck, Babe and Krystal would see what kind of crackpots they're married to and finally walk for good. Bianca exclaimed, “That is so Mom!” Zoe broke it up again, and thanked God she was an only child. When Lily arrived and was introduced to Zoe, she said she looked like a man—why was she dressed as a woman? Zoe explained it was just something she’d known about herself since forever, but took years to understand. Lily told her about coming to terms with her disorder, “People can be different. Different doesn't have to be bad.” Zoe agreed, sometimes it can be a very good thing. Barbara crashed the party on the pretext of wanting to meet and give a gift to her granddaughter. She apologized to Bianca for her behavior at the Valley Inn, and Bianca agreed she could stay. When Jack pointed out that she wasn’t invited, Barbara insisted Bianca asked her to stay, “Last I checked, I was a member of this family.” Erica suggested that Kendall and Zach make their big announcement; they did so, and congratulations were offered all around. Claire arrived with Miranda, and everyone greeted the birthday girl. Lily confided to Erica that she didn’t like Barbara, and Erica warned Barbara that Josh was off-limits. Zach worried that he didn’t want to disappoint this baby as he had Ethan; Myrtle assured him he wouldn’t. YOUR KIND OF LOVE HURTS Krystal called Derek to have Tad arrested for breaking and entering, but the chief told her the police station was off-limits when it came to her and her family issues. Tad told her, “I can't trust you with my baby. I sure as hell don't trust him. So if you're here, I'm here. Live with it.” As Adam, Tad and Krystal argued, Winifred and Colby came in with Little Adam and a lighted cake, singing happy birthday to Little A. As Little A opened his gifts, Adam told Tad to meet him in the library—it was time to negotiate! When Tad joined him, Adam suggested they join forces, “You help me get Krystal out of this house and out of my life, and I'll make sure you get your baby away from Krystal for good.” Tad said the day he cooperated with him would be the day Hell froze over. J.R. looked at a framed picture taken in San Diego, and said a lot had changed since then. Babe agreed they were different people, “Too much has happened.” She wanted to believe that they were written in the stars, too, but they weren't. The lies, the back stabbing, the betrayals were signs that they shouldn't be together, not then and not now. Colby asked Krystal how she could do this? “How could you let this baby be Tad's?” Krystal insisted she loved Adam more than ever and was going to make him see that. Colby told her, “Your kind of love hurts, so don't hurt my dad anymore.” THE TREASURE OF LOVE Watching Jack from across the room, Myrtle asked Erica why she ever left that man? When Erica said the marriage was over so there was no going back, Myrtle felt her own children were living proof there was always a way back, “You just have to find it.” Miranda was delighted and Bianca moved at the song Zoe had written for her birthday, “The Treasure of Love.” Jack offered Myrtle a ride home, and Barbara asked to tag along. Zach suggested Kendall get a ride home with Rachel; he had a stop to make. Kendall knew where he wanted to go, and she wanted to go with him. A LOST SON In the darkness of the cemetery, an unseen woman walked to Ethan’s grave; she reached out and touched the letters on the headstone. Later, she watched as Kendall and Zach stood and looked down at the grave. THE INCREDIBLE STORY OF TWO INCREDIBLE WOMEN Bianca thought Zoe’s song was amazing. Pleased, Zoe said her inspiration was the incredible story about two incredible women. As she started to leave, Bianca told her to wait, she didn’t really have a chance to say goodbye. She and Zoe came together, about to kiss. LIGHTS OUT Krystal worried when J.R. said Babe and Little A were gone. Tad suggested she might have just taken him for a ride; J.R. agreed, and thought he knew where. As Tad told Krystal she’d put the baby through enough stress for one day, the lights went out and Krystal screamed.

Monday, March 26, 2007 IS THIS WHAT I THINK IT IS? Ryan didn’t understand. They were having such a good time, and she suddenly wanted him to get out of there? Annie said she’d explain later; if he cared about her, he’d go! Could he please find Julia on his way out, and ask her to come up here? The Wildwind group settled in for a poker game, but Julia was preparing for the presentation she’d volunteered to make to the nurses' committee about their collective bargaining agreement. Ryan came downstairs and asks to speak to Julia in private. Julia went up to see Annie, who made her swear she was alone before opening the door. Julia’s face registered surprise when she looked at her, and she tried to hide a smile as Annie told her to be honest, “Is this what I think it is?” Julia confirmed that it was chicken pox, and thought Ryan would be relieved that she wasn’t angry with him; Annie insisted Ryan couldn’t see her like that—she had to send him home! Julia went downstairs and asked who had had chicken pox? Ryan hurried upstairs, insisting he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, for ricker, for poorer, in health and in chicken pox—let him in so he could attend to her every need! Annie screamed and hid under the covers when he opened the door and came into her room. Ryan teased her about being vain, and pulled covers away to reveal her face spotted with what looked like Calamine lotion. She wailed it was so gross, but Ryan kissed her anyway; later, she smiled as Ryan gently dabbed more lotion on her face. Jonathan was surprised when Lily arrived to see Aidan. He admitted to Amanda that he hadn’t gotten over Lily, and that he was making overtures toward leaving his job at ConFusion; he was grateful when Amanda was supportive of his decision. When Lily told Aidan she wanted a background check run on Barbara. She was only interested in the bad things she’d done, wanting to blackmail her into leaving town. Aidan reminded Lily that blackmail was illegal; she sighed if she couldn’t get rid of Barbara with blackmail, she’d just have to find another way. I THINK I CAN DO IT At the cemetery, Zach lamented lost chances with Ethan, and told Kendall he wanted to be a different kind of dad to their children. He didn’t want their kids to look at him the way he looked at his dead, the way Ethan looked at him. He wanted to be a good father to these kids and thought he could do it with their mom’s help. A woman watched as he and Kendall embraced. WE DON’T HAVE TO MISS EACH OTHER ANY MORE As Bianca and Zoe were about to kiss, Babe came to the door with Little Adam; she explained that Little A wanted to wish a happy, happy birthday to his birthday twin, Miranda, if it was okay with her mama. As the children played together, Babe and Bianca spoke of their dreams that their children would be best friends just like their mamas; they agreed they’d missed each other, but didn’t have to miss each other any more. J.R. showed up as Zoe was leaving; Zoe advised J.R. to give Babe and Bianca private time for a moment of significance. Surprisingly, J.R. took her advice and gave them a few minutes before knocking on the door. When he did knock, he said he didn’t want to intrude, but he’d be happy to help Babe get Little A home if she was ready to go. Zoe returned to Bianca’s with another gift for Miranda. They said goodnight and shared a hug before coming together for a tender kiss. A REAL SIMPLE EQUATION Adam told Krystal he had turned the power off, and would continue to take away essential comforts each day until she vanished. Krystal got that he was punishing her, but his own grandson? Adam assured her Little Adam would be sharing his suite enjoying all the comforts. All the utilities worked perfectly, and he would be a perfectly happy little boy. When Krystal asked where Tad was, Adam guessed he was sitting on his duff. Upstairs, Tad struggled to free himself after being tied up and gagged with duct tape. Krystal found Tad in the 15th room she looked in. After arguing about Tad staying around to keep an eye on his baby, they found themselves trapped in that room—Adam had glued the door shut! IN BIG WAYS AND SMALL EVERYDAY WAYS At home, Zach played with the Spikeman and asked what he was thinking? Did he want a brother or a sister, or twins? After putting Spike to bed, Zach was pleased that the beautiful, innocent child trusted him enough to fall asleep in his arms. He couldn’t wait until there were two of them! Kendall insisted he didn’t have to prove anything; he’d already proven that they could trust him in big ways and small everyday ways. Their life, their family, was only going to get better. THE WAY THAT YOU ALWAYS WANTED IT J.R. gave Babe a gift, the deed to some land for the dream home she’d wanted. There were no strings; even if they weren’t together, he still wanted her to have it for her and Little Adam. As Krystal tossed and turned, Tad tried to unseal the door. After Adam insisted to Babe and J.R. that he didn’t give a damn about Krystal anymore, he went upstairs and stood outside the door as Tad tried to unseal it; a tear slid down his cheek. I DON’T LIKE YOU AT ALL When Lily returned home, Barbara greeted her and offered to make her a hot tea or a cocoa. Lily told her, “Actually, I'd like to implement my revised plan to make you go away. I was going to blackmail you with something bad from your past, but then I realized that blackmail is illegal, so I came up with another idea.” She was going for the direct approach—she wanted her to leave Pine Valley! Barbara was taken aback; her response was to suggest a shopping trip. Lily declined, saying she didn’t want to go shopping with her, “I don't like you at all.” ETHAN ANDREW CAMBIAS Alone in the cemetery once again, the woman returned to Ethan’s grave; she reached out to touch the letters on the headstone.

Tuesday, March 27, 2007 THE ERICA KANE SHADOW When Erica showed up at Fusion and insisted the company needed her, Kendall balked at her mother wanting to take over. Sean arrived and asked to speak privately with Erica; they left the room, and Bianca told Kendall they really could use her help. Why was she so against her coming here? Kendall insisted only the two of them could know what it was like to be the daughter of Erica Kane! She was finally beating her issues, finding herself and starting this company with Greenlee, not their mom. She and Greenlee poured everything they had into Fusion, “It's mine. It's me. I can't give any of it up.” Sean pleaded with Erica not to go through with the divorce, insisting Barbara wanted to get her hooks into Jack and would drag him through the same hell that she did his father, “Don't let her do it to him, or Lily and me. Okay, my Uncle Jack wants you back. Please, I want you back.” Erica wished things could be different, but it was too late. She assured him whether she was married to his Uncle Jack or they were divorced, he could always count on her. Sean left, telling Bianca and Kendall to talk Erica out of this screwed-up divorce or they were all in for global ugliness. Kendall explained why it was so important to prove herself and make Fusion a success on her own. She and Bianca urged Erica not to rush into the divorce. Erica admitted she would always love Jack, but he was determined to get the divorce. IT’S A MYSTERY Zach came to escort Lily to her first day at work, and asked Jack if he was okay with her working for Cambias? Jack admired him for becoming associated with Cambias Industries again for the sake of the family, “I owe you.” Lily came into the room and rushed to open the door, telling her dad and Zach there was a woman peeking outside the window. The men didn’t see anyone outside, but Lily called it a mystery, and explained how she had deduced that the woman wore a size 8 shoe and weighed approximately 110-120 pounds. THE LOCK DIDN’T JUST SPROUT GLUE! J.R. and Babe were startled to hear banging from inside a guest room, and realized it was Krystal; they were taken aback to learn that Adam had glued the door shut, trapping Krystal and Tad. Babe swore when she found Adam, she was going to kill him! OH, NOT AGAIN Adam was asleep at Chandler Enterprises, his head on the boardroom table, as the board members came into the conference room. Adam woke up and rubbed his eyes as he asked what the devil they were all staring at? He looked down and realized he was naked; he vowed, “Martin, you’re dead.” Jamie and Aidan came in; Jamie shielded his eyes from the sight of Adam with no clothing on, and sighed, “Oh, not again.” A security guard took a mink coat from a female board member and gave it to Adam to wear home. Jamie called Tad and said it shouldn't be long now; he’d keep him posted. TAKE HIM AWAY, BOYS! After J.R. took the door off the hinges to get to Krystal and Tad, Adam stormed into the house, wearing nothing but the fur coat and flip-flops. Krystal demanded, “What the hell did you do to him, Tad?” Jamie and Aidan came in with two hospital attendants in white coats; Jamie suggested Adam calm down as the two men restrained him. Krystal warns Tad whatever this was, he needed to stop it right now—she wasn’t going to let him get away with this! After the attendants let Adam get dressed, Krystal tried to convince the them that Adam was sane, and Colby was upset when J.R. sided against their father. Adam insisted they drugged him, stripped him naked, left him in his boardroom all alone. Tad maintained his innocence; Krystal was his witness that he’d been locked up all night. Jeff arrived, and told the attendants, “Take him away, boys.” Adam was led away, still shouting that he was going to destroy the Martins. I’M NO SAINT, BUT ERICA? Sean witnessed his mother’s phony act with Jack, and told Barbara that was nice work. When he suggested they go back to Seattle, Barbara thought that he and Lily, the dynamic duo, were trying to get her away from Jack. When Sean insisted that Jack and Erica belonged together, Barbara took great pleasure in telling him that Erica had slept with Jeff Martin. Not wanting to lie to him, Jack admitted it was true. Upset, Sean left. Barbara complained to Jack about Erica, saying she was no saint, but Erica? Ha! Later, Erica took her key out and started to open the door, but thought better of it and knocked instead. No one came to the door right away; she looked around at the flowers, and then at Jack when he opened the door. SO MUCH FOR YOUR MYSTERY At Cambias, Zach went over Lily’s job responsibilities. Lily saw tracks on the newly-vacuumed carpet, and said the woman who had been at her house earlier had been here, too. With Zach’s help and permission, Lily checked the shoes of every female Cambias employee, but came up empty. “So much for your mystery,” Zach noted. As Lily insisted she’d figure this out for him, an attractive woman with long auburn hair came into the office. Lily immediately looked at her feet and asked what size shoe she wore? Taken aback, the woman said size eight, and agreed she was wearing a four-inch heel. Lily exclaimed that she was the woman looking in the windows of her house! Zach sent her on an errand, and asked the woman who she was and why she was following him. The woman smiled as she wondered, “You really don't know? Have I changed that much?” THEY’LL REGRET THIS! As he and Aidan left, Jamie told J.R., “That was a smart move siding against your dad. But after what you've done, you got a long way to go.” As Tad said he didn’t want Adam anywhere near his daughter, Krystal started having pains. As he sat in an institution wearing a straitjacket, Adam vowed, “They'll regret this. I'll make Hannibal Lecter look like a Cub Scout!” He was startled when Janet Dillon came up and gasped, “Adam Chandler! What brings you to my neck of the woods?”
