404 Error Message
I am getting that error 404 message (forum not found) when I click on the link to see replies of topics that I’m watching. Anyone else having that problem? Has it been fixed?? Can it be fixed?

Hi Kitri, if you are referring to the linkie that is e-mailed to you from the site, then yeah I know that there is a problem with those, when Pika gets back we will put our heads together and try and figure out how to get them to work properly. Til then everyone should bookmark the site so you can pop on here quickly that way. Sorry!!! We're very new at this!

Kitri- 03-20-2005

Yep, that's the one! I bookmarked the site when I registered. No need to appologize! You and Pika are doing a great job with the site otherwise and I love coming here!

Sorry, Kitri. The problem with links is a bug at the host site and can't be corrected. They're aware of the problem but don't seem inclined to fix it.

I've been working on this problem this morning. Forumer still hasn't fixed the main problem but they've offered a temporary solution. I can append the correct link to the registration email. I tried it and it works.

Do we have to do anything on our end...? I'm still getting that error message when I click the link in my email.

If you want to use links sent to you by email, you have to add the site name to the link. The link you're given is 8.forumer.com. Add reality island. to the beginning so it looks like realityisland.8.forumer.com and it should work.

thanks for adding the original site link to the email if you did that. It helps a lot!

According to Forumer, they have fixed the problem with the links. Has anyone noticed if it's working?

According to Forumer, they have fixed the problem with the links. Has anyone noticed if it's working? it just goes to the index, not the actual thread. so kind of!

It sounded like they considered the problem fixed from what I read at their support forum. I don't use those links myself so I'm not too concerned if they work right. The only one I'm concerned about is the link newly registered people get. Hopefully it will get them to the right area so they won't give up trying to register here.
