3-29 show thoughts... ugh, not that good overall....
nobody saved themselves, and those with the large fan bases,
will still be safe despite sucking as well....
the key will be if nadia's fan base picks up their voting pace, and where will the angered mikalia fans shift their vote towards....
guess: anthony goes home.....

um, paula said to constantine:
"this was your best male performance"
WTF? did i miss a female performance by
him earlier...... geez, just when
you think she can't get any worse
as a judge...ugh...

I wish they would ban all future performances of Whitney Houston songs on American Idol. They've all been done to death, especially the one Vonzell did tonight (or was it Nadia? I get those two girls confused).

I must have missed it when they had drag night, too, or maybe that was an unaired episode just for the cast.

Woot for Vonzell, Carrie, and Nadia!!

Vonzell looked great and outsang everyone else! Carrie was second best. Nadia was alright and the rest were just "blah"

I think a few were great: Vonzell and Carrie were awesome (and I love the song Independance Day), and Nadia was good too. Constantine can die of syphillis any day now.

Finally, all my Vonzell-lovin' is bearing fruit! I liked her from the beginning, she was consistent through the early rounds, and she's had two awesome performances in a row. She is beautiful and elegant and just a pleasure to watch and hear--totally loving her!
Independence Day is one of my favorite songs, too, Phil, and Carrie sang it smack dead on. Sadly, she's just not that interesting to watch, so picking Vonzell over her was an easy choice for me.
Those two were well above anyone else tonight, in my opinion. Nadia was okay, but her scowls and constipated expressions just make me wince. I did think Anthony was a lot better this week; I was surprised the judges didn't like him more.
The bad was bad. Scott proved that last week was a fluke. Jessica sounded hoarse and just...off. I screamed "thank you!" at the TV when Randy said Anwar was wimpy at the beginnings and stronger on his finishes. I've thought that for weeks.
I'll say Scott goes home, but his Bottom 3 companions will be Jessica and Anwar.

When Carrie started singing Independence Day I told her she better not mess it up! I hate when one of the idols take an absolute favourite song of mine and destroy it, but she didn't.
And I too have liked Vonzell from the start. There's something sweet about her and it's wonderful to see her getting stronger and more confident each week. And I cringe whenever someone starts with a Whitney or Celine song, but I thought she did it justice.
Bottom three this week .... Anthony, Scott, and either Anwar, Jessica or Nadia, depending on where Mikalah's votes go. And Scott will probably go home.

Bo and Vonzell rocked last night! All the others gave lukewarm performances, even my fave Nadia.
Scott, Anwar and Anthony are going downhill. I wasn't impressed with them and didn't care for the songs they sang. I usually don't care for Nikko, but he was way better than his past performances.
When Simon told Constantine he was the best male performer last night I was like WTF??? Are you on crack??? Better than Bo?? I don't think so!!
He also told Carrie she was the best, well, not after Vonzell's great performance!
Hubby spent two hours voting for Nadia....he said if she doesn't do better next week, his vote is going to someone else!

I tried to rate their performances but after Vonzell and Carrie the rest are a tossup. I thought the rest really weren't that good. So 3-9 can be mixed-up anyway in my opinion. I pick Nikko, Constatine, and Anthony for bottom three.
#1 Vonzell - I loved her hair. Thought she looked her best last night. I think she did Whitney's song justice.
#2-Carrie - I thought it started out shaky, but she pulled it off. I think the low notes hurt her, but she sang it well.
#3-Anwar - I liked his version of R. Kelly's song. It did start out shaky but he was able to pull it off.
#4-Nadia - not her best performance, but she has her own style.
#5-Jessica - Did anyone noticed when they panned the audience, someone was holding a sign for her upside down. She wasn't great, just o.k.
#6-Bo - he was o.k. He needs to quit carrying the mike stand, that bothers me.
#7-Scott - He can sing, just has not personality. When my son heard him he said, "He kind of sings like me, doesn't he. I sing like that." I was rolling.
#8-Nikko - He doesn't impress me either.
#9-Anthony - this guys just doesn't do it for me. I don't really like his voice/style.
#10-Constantine - YUCK. I can barely stand to watch his performances and he is a mediocre singer. Not attractive to me in the least.

As well as that horrid R. Kelly song that has been done to death. Ugh.
